ROBERT ASHBY Mrs. Carolyn Astle and son returned re-turned home after spending three weeks In Groveton, New Hampshire Hamp-shire visiting family and friends. She went especially to attend the wedding of he sitser. Making the return trip with her was Mrs. Lucille Lu-cille Astle, Austin's mother. She wil vlsiit here for awhile before returning re-turning to her home in 'Groveton, New Hampshire. Miss Sherlda- Allen visited her family over the weekend. Louise and Sherida went to Provo to the college rodeo in which Max Kennedy Ken-nedy was a contestant. Mr. and Mrs. Joe (Brenda) Millard Mil-lard and son, Dustin visited over the weekend with parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Mortenson. Mrs. Evon Gold and three children chil-dren spent Friday and Saturday In St. George with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Despain. Congratulations to our football team on their victory at Richfield. Many of our area folks went to Richfield to see the game. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Erickson and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Fullmer made a trip to Nevada to do some pine-nut pine-nut hunting Master Chris Mork, five year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Bent Mork,, had the misfortune of being hit by a car and having his leg broken and numerous abrasions. He Is now well on his way to recovery andd feeling much better. Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Alldredge' went to Salt Lake to attend the wedding of their first grandchild, Penny Alldredge, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leif Alldredge to Mr. Gregory Clark. Adrian reports it was very nice and also was the 100 birthday of his father. Mr. and Mrs. Leif Alldredge and six children chil-dren have moved to Idaho Falls. Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Alldredge spent last week at St. George and Southern Utah where Adrian is employed. We extend our heartfelt sympathy sympa-thy to Clark and Nina Terrell on the death of Nina's father. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Guy Terrell Ter-rell were their children: Kathleen, Salt Lake; Bill and Nila Hogan and family, Salt Lake; Velda Johnson, Orem and Steve Terrell, Holden. Mr. and Mrs. Alan Mayfield, Provo, spent the weekend in Delta with Mrs. Mayfield's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cleo Whicker. Mr. and Mrs. John Peterson visited visit-ed in Salt Lake with sons and families, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Peterson. They went to the follies and fair. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald O. Billings visited Thursday night with Mr. and Mrs. Terah L. Billings and two children who are caretakers at the Granite School District Science Lodge In Mill Hollow Basin and Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Harold J. (Lucille Wilcox) Wimmer in Nine Mile Canyon, out of Duchesne. This summer they have had visits with Mr. and Mrs. Ellis (Ger aldine) Carter and seven children in Las Vegas; and in Delta with Mr. and Mrs. Grant L. Western (Lucille) and four children, Smith-field; Smith-field; Mr. and Mrs. Howard Billings and Tammy of Ogden; George and Capt. and Mrs. Bryce Billings and four children of Salt Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Brad (Wanda) Odell and Charlotte also Mrs. M. K. (Blanche) Mathews and three children of Logan; Lo-gan; Mr. and Mrs. Terah L. Billings and two children of Mill Hollow Basin; Mr. and Mrs. Fenton W. Billings Bil-lings and three children of Spring-ville. Spring-ville. At Springville they visited Mrs. Cecil Billings and six children of El Paso, Texas who were en-route en-route to Idaho on vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Morris Allen and two children of Reno, Nev. and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Freeland and three children of Lake Tahoe, Calif, spent the weekend with their sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Terrell and to attend the funeral services of their father, Bruce J. A record for this time of year, 91 Saturday. Albert and Leah Reid's two daughters, dau-ghters, May and Eva, visited their parents and other friends and relatives rela-tives last week. While here Leah had Clark Bliss over for supper and to visit with her daughters. Mrs. Luena Fullmer went to Henderson, Nev. last Monday to welcome a little 6 lb. 15 oz. baby girl who arrived Sept. 23 to Bryan and Geniel Fullmer Brush. Luena has not returned home yet. Mrs. Eae Petersen sprained her ankle and has been more or less laid up (very painful). Our two big old dead trees were downed last week. A big job and it took most of the family to do it. I was so happy to hear Mrs. Hen rietta Barben took the prize on Art Linkletter's show at the State Fair. I am anxious to see the pic ture she had taken with Art. She is 97 and just as spry as can be, Venice Davis, her daughter, told me Saturday she left her home making relish while she came to town to shop. Neno Hoelzle went to enroll in college Friday. Almon and June Fullmer and Ronald drove to Spanish Fork Saturday. Sat-urday. Erma and Clifferd Petersen drove to Layton Friday to visit their son, Arnold and family. They were there to see granddaughter, Julie get baptized. They also visited Char-leen Char-leen and family in Salt Lake. Garrison News BLANCHE RICHARDSON Deputy Sheriff Bud Richardson investigated a burning car in Kings Canyon. Sunday evening of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Jensen were Ely visitors last week. Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Smith returned re-turned to Yerington, Nevada on Tuesday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Wheeler were Delta visitors Thursday. James Wheeler left Friday to en roll at SUSC. Bryan Robison of Baker, Nevada has been a patient in the Milford Hospital for over a week. iti:s!:iti:T ARPRIXLA SCOW Mrs. Edna Christensen and Mrs. Beverly Eliason and daughter, Janet, went to Tooele last Sunday to help Mrs. Carolyn Haynes celebrate cele-brate her birthday. Mrs. Edra Searle of Provo and daughter, Jerry of Salt Lake visited Wednesday with Denise Palmer. Mrs. Mary Black and son, Carlos spent Wednesday at Provo. College students who left this weekend for school were Dale Jensen to St. George, Layne Eliason, Elia-son, Sidney Ogden, Martin Eliason to Cedar and Paula Black to Logan. Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Black of Tooele visited during the week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. I. Black. The Daughters of Pioneers of the Fanny Cropper Camp held their opening meeting Thursday evening at the home of Winona Dutson. A lesson was given by Ines Damron and then Winona played several numbers on the organ. There were 17 daughters present. Luncheon was served by Myrle Bennett and Vilate Maxfield. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Webb went to Midway Saturday where they met Mr. and Mrs. Lee Ivers and from there they went to Colorado where they will spend this week visiting different parts of the state of Colorado. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Larson and son, Garold, Mrs. Mary Black and son, Carlos left Friday for Calif, to attend funeral services for their brother-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Conk of Kearns were down over the week end taking care of their farm. James and Jerrie Ross spent the weekend at Deseret with grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Bennett. They will enter school this week at SUSC in Cecar. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Wood of Holden Hol-den visited at Deseret Wednesday with Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Ben nett. Mrs. Josie Moody returned home Monday after having spent the past week at Ely, Nev. with her sister, Mrs. LaVern Johnson. Well Chukar season is open now and there seem to be a lot of hunters out and they report being quite successful. Mrs. Blanche Yersin returned on Friday from a two week's visit with her daughter and families in Ely and Spring Valley. Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Forsyth of Cedar spent the weekend visiting with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Wheeler.
