Family members wil be welcomed, Mrs. Ekker says. "Please write your senators and congressmen," is the plea being made by the Utah Cattlemen's Ass'n and Roundup CowBelles to encourage passage of new bills before be-fore Congress. Senators Frank E. Moss (D) and Wallace F. Bennett (R), are co-sponsors of Sen. R. L. Hruska's bill, S-1588, which if pass ed will: 1. Remove the 10 override, over-ride, making the triggering level indentical to the quota; 2. Change the base period from '59-6.3 to'58-62 thus avoiding the high import year of 1963; 3. Include purchases of foreign for-eign meat for our overseas forces against the quota; 4. Use calendar quarter basis or figuring plus other points. The legislation is intended to be an improvement over what the country now ha9 in cutting down on foreign meat imports. Congressmen Congress-men Sherman P. Uoyd and Laurence Lau-rence J. Burton, both of whom were in Congress when the old bill passed, pass-ed, need to know how Utahns feel about the new bill. Livestock is Millard County's biggest source of income. Proponents of the bill say it should help the beef market about 33. The Roundup Cowbelles point out that all that is needed to address a letter to a congressman or senator sena-tor is his name and either U. S.
