Mr. and Mrs. Leon C. Bowman and daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Phyllis) (Phyl-lis) Dewey from Pico Rivera, Calif., spent Tuesday visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Grant Snow. They left Wednesday to go to Salt Lake to attend Conference. They returned home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Snow spent last weekend, in Enterprise, visiting visit-ing with Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Holt and family. ' Mr. and Mrs. Keith Bauer, from Spanish Fork, visited Saturday evening ev-ening with Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hardy Har-dy and family. They were on their way to Milford to visit their parents. par-ents. Mrs. Delbert Crapo and son, Kent from Fillmore, were over last Friday. Fri-day. They attended the Millard-Delta Millard-Delta football game along with the rest of the East side. It seems good to have a change in the winning win-ning score. Recent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Evan Gardner, to visit THIRD WARD AREA NEWS BEA WILLDEN Visiting in Delta with Mrs. Susie Su-sie Sampson was her daughter, Mrs. Jennie Miller, of Granger. Miss Jackie Henrie of Las Vegas, Nevada, is visiting her grandmother, grandmo-ther, Mrs. Hattie Harris for a few days. Mrs. Naomi Ross and I spent 3 days in Salt Lake City. While there, I attended the D.U.P. convention con-vention and - Naomi visited with her family. An aunt, Mrs. lone Za-briski Za-briski of Los Angeles, came up to visit, and for the first time in 15 years, the family were together at Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ruthaford's in Midvale, for a family dinner. We also took in the show at the beautiful beau-tiful Valley Music Hall and saw South Pacific. The hall is breathtaking. breath-taking. We visited Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Alien and family, Mr. and Mrs. Wes Dutson and family, saw Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Parrish and Mrs. Neil Forster and Cindy. Neil was fishing. Had the privilege of meeting meet-ing Mrs. Lovina Stringham of Left-bridge, Left-bridge, Alberta, Canada, who is 82 years young and brought an exhibit ex-hibit to the Relief Society Conference, Confer-ence, of her hand woven articles. She sent her love to Mrs. Hazel Gronning, who is a dear friend, and to Mr. and Mrs. G. O. Billings. She is a remarkable little ladys. She appeared on TV Saturday. These people stayed in Salt Lake with Mr. and Mrs. Auston Russell,. Mrs, Russell is Naomi's aunt. Mr. Al Willden, Darrell Wi'lden, and Paul Carter, made a trip to Nevada this week. Mr. and Mrs. Eld on Carter and Mr. and Mrs. Don Tipton of Spanish Span-ish Fork, visited in Delta Sunday with the Paul Carter's. with Gary Gardner, were Bishop and Mrs. Harold Arnaldson from Moroni. Their son and Gary were missionary companions in England. Mr. and Mrs. Evan Gardner were in Salt Lake, Saturday night, to attend the reunion of the South ern States missionaries. Bob Gardner is attending school at CSU in Cedar City. Gary is at the BYU in Provo. Mrs. Brog Hopkins, Debra and Jacquie, spent the weekend, visit ing in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Bishoo of Modesto, Calif., returned home on Monday, after spending a month in Utah. They came to go pinenut hunting, but after finding them all psoiled, they enjoyed trips to the west desert, Snake Valley, To paz and Kegg Mts., with Mr. and Mrs. Fay Walker. Mr. Bisshop is a brother of Mrs. Walker's. Carol Ann Jeffery came down Sunday evening to attend meeting in the 3rd ward, put on by Elder Dean Perkins, who recently return ed from an LDS mission. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Bybee have moved into our ward. They live in the Buss Shields' home. We are always happy to have new people move m and help fill up the emp ty homes. Jean Taylor was home for the weekend, with her parents, and family She is teaching 3rd grade at the Whitier School in the Gran ite District. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Stephenson and family, from Altus, Oklahoma, arrived in Delta Thursday, to visit with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Taylor. Mr. Stephenson is the Branch Pres. of the church at Altus. He and his counselors, Elder Larry Atkinson, left Friday to attend at-tend Conference in Salt Lake City. They were in Delta Sunday evening even-ing and attended our ward. They helped High Councilman, Lionel Taylor, with the program. They returned to Salt Lake, Monday, to go to the Temple with a couple who were converts to the church. Mrs. Ruth Jensen, Elbert and Dan, left Delta Sept. 9, to go to Rhode Island to meet Zelma, who has recently been released from an LDS mission. While there, they visited Jamestown, R.I., and Lynn, Mass. They saw the Statue of Liberty, Lib-erty, Music Hall, and attended a performance there; the Rock Bound Coast of Maine; New York World's Fair; Hill Cumorah; Sacred Grove Joseph Smith Memorial;. Niagra Falls; Navoo Temple, and the Kirt- land Temple, owned by the Re-or ganized Church. The Far West Temple sight and to Adam-Oudl-Owen; Liberty Jail, and the Carth age Jail and arrived in Salt Lake Saturday. They visited Mrs. Hale Jeffery in the LDS Hospital, in room 621. She was still a real sick gal, but seemed to feel better. Mrs. Jensen, Dan and Elbert came on home and Zelma stayed In Salt Lake to attend her missionary reunion. re-union. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Jensen and family brought her home, Sun day night. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Draper and family, from Washington, D.C., spent a week, visiting In Delta, with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Draper, Dean and Jean, and In Hinckley with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Dutson and family. Veann Draper, from Salt Lake City, came to spend the weekend in Delta and visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Draper, and brother, Reed and family. Saturday night, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Jeffery, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Jeffery and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Dutson, Dut-son, met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ciark Draper and spent the evening visiting with the Reed Drapers. DESERET s222J2i- Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Bosley from West Virginia, visited Tuesday and Wednesday, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Milden Scow and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dewsnup. They left Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon and went on to Coalville, Utah, to spend the rest of the week at the home of Mi and Mrs. Kent Dewsnup. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Western of Smlthfield, Utah, are the proud parents of a baby boy, bom Sept. 29. They have three daughters. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Western of Deseret and Mr. and Mrs. G. O. Billings of Delta. Mr. Ormus L Dutson attended funeral services at Centerfield, Ut., Wednesday, for Mr. Oscar L. Mal-mgren. Mal-mgren. Mrs. Rachel Cahoon spent a few days in Salt Lake City, with Mr. and Mrs. Varlo Cahoon and child ren. The Rook Club held its first club meeting, Thursday evening, at the home of MarGenne Rowley. Lunch ean was served and One High Rook was played. Members present were: Lucile Sampson, Bessie Webb, De-lores De-lores Ogden, Jackie Black, Lucile Hales, Carol Warnick, and Elaine Moody.
