Roper, teachers of Auto Mechanics Mechan-ics at Delta High School, are standing by material donated to the school by General Motors Corporation. Included in the material is one complete Oldsmobile motor with a motor stand, a 1964 Cadillac transmission, two regulators, one laternator, three carbureators (one barrel, two barrel, four bar rel), special too's for overhauling the more technical parts. Teachers and Principal C. L. Bennett are elated with this gift from General Motors and are sure that it will be widely used by boys taking Auto Mechanics. LAURA BRADFIELD Supt. Eldro Jeffery and Leoyd Lovell of Delta visited our MIA last Tuesday night. They presented our ward with a beautiful picture for going over our quota on the Era drive. School is out. It seems good to see all the little children playing around. Hope this nice weather con tinues. The students from our ward that graduated from Seminary are Ann Nelson, Wendell Nieison, Craig Greathouse, George Johnson, Patsy Nieison, Ila Mae Overson, Paula Simpson and Kristine Talbert. Congratulations Con-gratulations to all of you. Donald and Jane Benson and children of Salt Lake visited at the home of Donald's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Benson last Friday. Phillis Nieison, LaWrene Brad-field, Brad-field, Sandra Benson and Judy Nieison Niei-son went to Salt Lake Friday. Saturday Sat-urday night they went to Lagoon and attended the "Beach Boys Concert." Con-cert." They also went shopping and to Liberty Park, up the canyon and to church. They stayed with Rayma and Kent Hughes. The girls returned return-ed home by train Monday. Lita Chell of Eskdale and Parley Overson of Provo spent the week end with their brothers, Louis and Clyde Overson. Mr. and Mrs. Ivie Jay Nieison an son Robbie and Karen Nieison were weekend visitors at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Irving Nieison. Willard and Carmen Nieison Ste wart and children of Las Vegas have been here with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clead Nieison. They went back today, leaving their two boys, Kendall and Willie here for the summer. Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Wilkins went to Salt Lake Saturday even ing to a wedding reception for one of Linda's friends. Linda came home for Memorial Day with them. Enla and Junior Baird and children of Richfield also visited at the Wilkins Wil-kins home. Eddie Dutson, the Scoutmaster, took the Boy Scouts fishing last Saturday morning. Later in the day they went to Saratoga where they passed off their swimming tests. Joe and Emma Jean Nieison Evertson and children of Salt Lake spent the weekend with their parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Nieison. Blaine Nieison was home with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Nieison. Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Dutson and children went to Fillmore for Memorial Mem-orial Day. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Eatough and girls went to Salt Lake and spent the weekend with Mrs. Kate Hayes. Mr. and Mrs. Hilton Peters and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Peters and son Dell of Las Vegas visited over the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Law-rence Bradfield and Margaret Brad field. Margaret went back to Las Vegas with them. Mr. and Mrs. Don Bradfield and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bradfield went to Mayfield and Emery for Memorial Day. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hare and family spent Sunday in Fillmore Army Announces "Basic Training Center" Change The U. S. Army Recruiting Station located at 51 East Center Street in Provo announces a change in the location of the "Basic Training Center" for this area. For the first time in man y months, all males entering the U.S. Armv after June 1st will be for warded to Fort Ord, Calif, for basic training. They will depart Salt Lake City on a United Airlines Jet Mainliner and arrive at Salinas, Calif, that evening and on to Fort Ord by Army bus. Fort Ord is among the largest military installations in California It is located 108 miles south of San Francisco and 340 miles north of Los Angeles. Fort Ord has an 18 hole golf course (available for off-duty off-duty hours), a Commissary, numerous num-erous Post Exchange Stores, Service Ser-vice Clubs, Gymnasium, Hobby Shops, three movie theaters and numerous chapels. Among the many off-duty recrea tion facilities are deep sea fishing, hunting, sightseeing around the his toric Monterey Peninsula, and scenic sce-nic tours arranged by special service ser-vice personnel. The Senior Mixed Chorus sang "Onward Ye Peoples" followed by the presentation presenta-tion of graduates by Prin. C. L. Bennett to Dr. Vermon S. Barney, Supt. of Millard Schools. Dr. Barney awarded the diplomas assisted by Mrs. Pat Johnson and Miss Julia Bogh. The School Song was sung by the entire class. Class advisors were Pat Johnson, Julia Bogh and Dana Pratt.
