Hallmark Cards is offering one of her typical New England scenes of a century ago, "Out for the Christmas Tree." No other artist ever achieved such popularity on Christmas cards as Grandma, the little old lady who started painting in her 70'a and soared to world-wide fame. She died in 1961 at the age of 101 . Deseret Garden Club Reports The November meeting of the Deseret Garden Club was held at Hatch's City Cafe Friday evening, Nov. 13 where the group enjoyed a ham dinner. The tables were decorated de-corated with a Thanksgiving theme by Cleo Eliason, club president. Members present were: Fern Crafts, Nora Cropper, Beverly Eliason, Elia-son, Cleo Eliason, Lucile Hales, Lou Larsen, and Gertrude Western. Spec.al guests were Dixon Eliason, Julia Eiiason, Margo Eliason and Maxine Larsen. , The following program was given during the evening: two readings, Fern Crafts; piano duet, Dixon and Julia Eliason; piano solo, Dixon E-liason; E-liason; poem, Margo Eliason; song, Dixon and Julia Eiiason; and a story by Lucile Hales. She shares an off.ee in Roosevelt with La Von Day, Extension Agent in the same area. They work under the Bureau of Indian Affairs, extension service, thru the USU Extension Service. Miss Callister is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Lathal Callister and a graduate of DHS. She received the Academic and Personal A-ch'evement A-ch'evement Award in the Dept. of Housing and Home Management at BYU where she graduated in June, 1964. . Miss Callister replaces Mary Boenden who was recently transferred trans-ferred to become Home Demonstration Demonstra-tion Agent of Duchesne County.
