They came to be here for Gordon's wedding. Joan Petersen spent the weekend in Orem visiting her parents. Mrs. Shirley Owens had a Cub Scout group at her home Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Ivo Ogden and Roger Ro-ger visited in Orem and Salt Lake City over the weekend. The Doyle Steeles had word from their daughter Elma that she was out of the hospital after her recent surgery in Germany. Word conies from Mesa, Arizona that Mrs. Cora Larsen is feeling much better. Mr. and Mrs. Brose Roberts made a trip to Grand Junction, Colo, over the weekend. We welcome the Zen Boothe family fa-mily to our ward. Lucy Egan of Great Falls, Monl. recently visited the Max Johnsons, the Bernard Jacksons and the Jim Owens. . Mrs. Rhoda Jackson is now in Murray. I'm sure she would enjoy hearing from all of us. We wish Gordon Johnson and his new 'bride lots of happiness and welcome them to our ward. Mrs. Josie Walker and Viola Walker Wal-ker of Oak City were hostesses at Josie's home to the Jolly Stitchers Friday. A large crowd was present and each member contributed some story, poem or saying of wisdom wis-dom to the program. The Delta High School gave the program in Sacrament meeting Sunday night, under the direction of Prin. Bennett who gave a talk. Also a talk by Linda Corbett. Laura Moody was the youth speaker. Annette An-nette Rawlinson, Rose Mary Sanderson Sand-erson and Mary Jo Finlinson sang accompanied by Mrs. Rayda Rawlinson. Raw-linson. Spencer Ashby and Susan Reeve sang, accompanied by Rose Ann Spencer. Mr. Sharp of the Music Mu-sic Dept. played a trombone solo. Mr. and Mrs. Cleo Christensen are spending a few days in Las Vegas, Nevada. Velda Pace is home from the hospital after having had surgery. We wish her a speedy recovery. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Owens went to Springville Saturday to a funeral of one of Shirley's aunts. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Wood of Salt Lake visited the weekend in Delta with Mr. and Mrs.. Delene and I enjoyed the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Bradfield, Eddie Ed-die and Evalynn. Eddie left for his m'ssion in Texas. Mr. and Mrs. Tex Stanworth also spent the week in Salt Lake. Mrs. Jennie Stylet- and Alice Webb spent two days this week visiting their father, Lafe Olson, in Oak City. LaVeda Bishop visted a week in Salt Lake City. Elder Paul Black and High Councilman Coun-cilman Ormus Dutson gave Sacrament Sacra-ment meeting Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Loren Rowley and Steven wish to thank everyone who contributed or helped in any way the night of the testimonial. They are very grateful. They heard from Steven. It was too foggy to land in England so they landed in Frankfurt, Germany. Steven is on his way to Ireland. This is a real oddity. My husband's hus-band's mother's, Annie SkeenV, birthday is on Father's Day and his father's birthday, Peter Skeem, Is on Mother's Day, although they have passed on.- 1 George Putrus extends a 'hello' to all down this way. He works at the UP depot ticket office in Salt Lake City. LEAMINGTON WANDA NIELSON The f re that destroyed Jane Williams Wil-liams home Friday was very tragic. It seemed to burn so fast, nothing much could be done. Everyone in town practically turned out to do what they could. Jane was unable un-able to get any of her personal belongings, only what she wore. Jane is staying at the home of a very dear friend, Margaret Brad-field Brad-field until other arrangements can be made. Jane's children were here also. She has a wonderful family. They are so kind and sweet and thoughtful . . of their mother, of course, Jane is a very special mother. mo-ther. Everyone loves to be around her, she has such a sense of humor. Claudine Nielson "arrived home from a month's visit in California with Mr. and Mrs. Niel Hoag. Lydia is a g'rl friend of Claudine's from France. They did a lot of sight-seeing, China Town, Art Museum, Zoo, etc. She also stayed with Beatrice and Charley Gunn and visited with their children. He has two sisters and one brother waiting at home. He is a new grandson for Mr. and Mrs. Newell Iverson. The Newell Iversons received word from their daughter Phyllis Hansen that her husband Launy had had surgery in a Klamath Falls, Oregon hospital. Word ..was ..received ..here ..last week of the death of Robert Per-cell Per-cell of Eagle, Idaho. He was the husband of Bonnie Anderson, a dau ghter of Mrs. LaVon Doolin. He died suddenly in a Idaho hospital Mrs. Doolin is staying in Idaho with her daughter Bonnie. Bishop and Mrs. Arthur Jensen left last Thursday night by train to go to Bellflower, Calif. They visited vi-sited with Mr. and Mrs. "Leon Hic-ken Hic-ken and family. They arrived home Wednesday night by car with Zel-ma Zel-ma Jensen. Zelma has 'been working work-ing in Bellflower. She plans on staying home for a while now. Sacrament meeting Sunday night was given by the Seminary class of Evan Gardner. Evan teaches the freshman class and all the members mem-bers of his classes have given talks in the wards of Deseret Stake. The boys and girls really do a good job. I hope they keep on with Seminary for their remaining remain-ing school year. Dr. J. E.
