Show J eamiHGton The 2nd year cooking 4-H club met at the home of Marie Johnson on April 11 to organize their 4-H club for this year. Mary Jo Finlin-son Finlin-son and Marie Johnson will be the leaders of this group. Officers e-lected e-lected were Carol Roper, pres.; A-lida A-lida Ruth Overson, vice-pres.; and Mayna Lovell, see. The group is small, but they expect to have a good time this summer and learn to cook better. They will meet every Thursday at the homes of their leaders. Visitors at the Grant Overson home on Wednesday were Mrs. Vera Ve-ra Johnson (an aunt of Ida's) and Mrs. Magadeline Allred of Fountain Green. Wednesday evening Mrs. Gertrude Law and girls of San Ber-nadino, Ber-nadino, Calif., Mrs. Joy Bennett and Jolyn of Sutherland and Mr. Lyman Ly-man Overson visited with the Grant Overson family. On Saturday Mrs. Grant Overson and children visited in Fountain Green with her father, Mr. W. H. Johnson and attended the funeral of a neighbor, Alden C. Allred. Sunday Sun-day Mrs. Elden Johnson and family fam-ily of Nephi visited and spent Easter Eas-ter with the Grant Overson family. Wiley Lovell and family were down Saturday visiting Bud and Margaret and Deon McCann. Ruth and Rich Finlinson attended attend-ed the funeral Monday for Mrs. Foy of Panguitch. She is Elizabeth Finlinson Foy's mother-in-law. Joy Nielson was in Salt Lake last Wednesday for medical attention. Mr. and Mrs. Don Anderson and family and a friend of Eddie's were down over the Easter weekend visiting vis-iting with Hattie Anderson. Floyd and Victor Bradfield were in Spanish Fork and Provo Saturday. Satur-day. Brent Sherwood come home with them and stayed Saturday and Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Verl Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. Reed Sherwood and family visited Mr. and Mrs. Randall Bradfield. Mr. and Mrs. Burton Hanson and family were in Pioche, Nev. On their way down they visited Lehman Leh-man Caves. They visited with Burton's Bur-ton's sister, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bishop. Their son Steven B shop was married. On their return home they stopped in Milford and visited with Mr. and Mrs. Elden (Ora) Burke. Burton's mother, Mrs. Rita Petersen accompanied them on their trip. Leda Johnson and LaRee Bigelow were down Saturday visiting friends. Mrs. Violet Nielson visited with Mr. and Mrs. Grant Nielson. Grant and Louise were in Provo Saturday for shopping and business. busi-ness. Mr. and Mrs. Scott Skidrrrore and family of Moab visited with Mr. and Mrs. Grant Nielson. Also a couple of Louise's sisters were visiting vis-iting with her, also. Elmo Neilsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. John (Jack) Neilsen has been in Odense, Denmark, the birthplace of Hans Christian Anderson. He said it is a very interesting place to labor on his mission. He's moved quite frequently so isn't in one place any length of time. He's also al-so been in the temple at Bern, Switzerland. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Bradfield of Scipio came over to John Talbot's funeral and also visited with Margaret Mar-garet Bradfield. Mr. and Mrs. Therise Memmott of Salt Lake visited with Margaret Bradfield and Wm. Bradfield. Kenneth, Gordon and Raymond Lovell, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Lovell were home for the Easter weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Taylor and daughter gave the program Sunday Sun-day in Sacrament meeting Sunday nite. Vicki Nielson sang a song and prayers were by Alma Harder and Welby Finlinson. Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Clements and family were down Saturday visiting with Clara Johnson and family. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Bosworth and girls of Salt Lake visited Mr. and Mrs. Welby Lovell and Ethel last Saturday. Loma Ashby visited with her parents par-ents Thursday and Friday. Arnold come down Friday nite and went on to St. George to visit Mr. and Mrs. Maiben Ashby and family. Mrs. Jane Williams visited Mr. and Mrs. Tom Williams and family fam-ily in Milford last week. She returned re-turned home Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Don Williams and family fam-ily of Provo spent Easter Sunday with her. Mr. and Mrs. George Peterson of Sandy and Devon Memmott of Salt Lake were brief visitors at the La-Forge La-Forge Lovell home Friday night. They came to get Doris Memmott and Robert who have been at the Lovell home all week. Elder Kay L. Lovell is eniovinE his missionary work in sunny Lakeland, Lake-land, Florida. He writes that Lakeland Lake-land is a very pretty city with several sev-eral lakes in among the homes. The missionaries spend what free time they get working on the Lakeland Lake-land Ward Chapel, which is progressing pro-gressing nxely and will be very beautiful when finished. The Easter program in church Sunday was as follows: Jr. Sunday School sang a son, Kristine Nielson Niel-son gave the story of Lazrus, Re-gina Re-gina Finlinson gave the story of The Crucifixion of Christ, Betty, Ann Wichmann gave the story of The Resurrection of Christ, then the entire Jr. Sunday School sang a song. In senior Sunday School DeeAnn Nielson gave a story in scripture. The song "He Is Risen" was sung by the congregation. Wilma Lovell gave the story of "Easter". Mr. and Mrs. Nell Finlinson were weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walker Finlinson for the Easter weekend. Mr. David Nielson visited Mr. and Mrs. Clint Nielson and family ove the Easter weekend. His wife, Arta visited in Nephi with her folks. Mr. Wallace Nielson was visiting with relatives here Saturday, after staying a week with his daughter Bonnie in Eureka. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Nielson are the proud grandparents of another an-other grandson born to Kenny and Sally Lake of Delta. Baby was born in the Fillmore LDS Hospital on April 7th. Elwood Dutson and son Kale were up to Rulon Dutson's during Elwood's spring vacation. Stanley and Eddie Bradfield were in town over Easter weekend. I was down to the West Millard Hospital dedication last Saturday. Anyone having had anything to do with helping in any way should certainly feel time and money well spent. Spencer Nielson is up and around again. He says he thinks he'll live now. Just can't keep a good man down. I don't think the traditional Easter Eas-ter egg roll was held at the sand hills this year the wind was blowing blow-ing so hard the sand hills came to us.
