In discussing her various projects, Miss Bunker states that she likes the frozen foods method of food preservation. Freezing keeps the natural color, fresh flavor, texture and nutritive value of most fruits and vegatables better than other methods of home foods preservation, preserva-tion, Miss Bunker continued. In 1953, Miss Bunker and a friend gave a demonstration on Freezing of Greens at the Millard County Fair and won a trip to Utah State Fair. This was the beginning of many such honors for an active 4-H'er. During the eight years Miss Bunker Bun-ker has been an active 4-H member she has frozen over a ton of meat, fish and poultry. She has frozen 610 quarts of vegetables and fruits and 762 ears of corn on the cob. She has bottled corn, cucumbers, beets and tomatoes and stored cabbage, cab-bage, parsnips, onions, beets turnips, tur-nips, carrots and squash for winter. For several years, Miss Bunker has entered the Jam and Jelly contest con-test at the Millard County Fair and has always won blue ribbons on her exhibits. In each case, her exhibits ex-hibits have gone on to State Fair. In keeping her records she discovered dis-covered that she had made 472 glasses and 22 V4 pints of jelly and jam, canned 823 H quarts of meat, fish and fruits and vegetables. She has prepared 172 meals, 897 seper-ate seper-ate dishes and 162 baked foods. Thursday, Oct. 29, 1959 Miss Bunker took high honors with an all wool dress at Millard County Fair and it was chosen to be exhibited at Utah State Fair. She has won so many honors in all her projects that it is difficult to enumerate them all. Miss Bunker has made her 4-H work a vital part of her life. Her record book and handbook are always al-ways in plain sight at her home. Through the years, she has received many ribbons, pins and awards. She feels that the things that she has learned through 4-H will help her to be a better homemaker, mother, citizen, friend and a happier more useful person in later years. Miss Bunker gives thanks to her mother for always being a constant Inspiration and helper in her 4-H projects. The winners of the trip to the 4-H Club Congress are selected on project and achievements records and recommendations from club leaders and county extension a-gents. a-gents. She was a member mem-ber of the Sunshine Club of Delta First Ward. She was a member of the Daughter of Pioneers organization organiza-tion in Manti. Her parents were pioneer settlers of Manti and crossed cross-ed the plains in the early days of the church. She made her home In Delta with her daughter Mrs. Bird for the past five years. She is survived by 3 daughters and 2 sons, Mrs! Myron E. (Romania) (Roma-nia) Bird, and Mrs. Evan Q, (Mar jorie) Gardner both of Delta, Mrs, Earl (Fern) Bench, North Hollywood, Holly-wood, California, Bishop Elden Westenskow, Moroni, Owen West-enskow, West-enskow, Brigham City, 19 grandchildren, grand-children, 18 great grandchildren, a brother Samuel E. Visiting from High Springs, Florida Flori-da with Mr. and Mrs. Wells Wood, this past week were Mr. and Mrs. L. V. Guynn. While here they drove with Mrs. Wood to visit her father Joseph Jones who lives in St. George where he is engaged in doing do-ing Temple work. They enjoyed the scenery in Zions National Park and Cedar Breaks on their return to Delta. Mr, Guynn Is an uncle to Mrs. Wood, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Warner, for- mer Deltans now in St. Paul write that they miss their Delta friends even though they are enjoying St. Paul now that they are settled. Jeffery was "bishop of the ward and about many of the things he remembered about Delta as a boy. He named many of the forty families fam-ilies who came to Delta first. The closing song by the choir and congregation, led by Dr. Bird, was "God Be with You Till We Meet Again" and the closing pray er was offered by Frank Wood.
