Present for the happy occasion were the Pace families here. Mr. Pace and his bride, .the former for-mer Mabel Stewart King, were married Friday, October 12, in the "Little White Chapel" in Las Vegas, Nevada, in a candle-lit ceremony at six o'clock. The bride was lovely in a waltz length dress of champagne colored 1 faille, embroidered with seed pearls ' and gold, and wore a corsage of fall flowers in exotic colors. Izjrie Lore Cluh Hosts Fall Party The Lyric Lore Club members and husbands met at the Eldon Eliason home for their annual fall party. A delicious dinner was served to Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Virt Barney, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bassett, Mr. and Mrs Ted Bennett, Ben-nett, Mr. and Mrs. June Black, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Eliason, Mr. and Mrs. Clair Gardner, Mr. and Mrs. Evan Gardner, Mr. and Mrs. E. D. HEJEH POSE - Mr. and Mrs. John Wind Just returned re-turned from Provo, where 1hey visited with their children, Mr. and Mrs. Auer Jensen and family and Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Wind and family. They report that Auer and Doris have their new home almost completed. Elder Edward Skidmore returned home from his mission last week. He has been gone for the past two years and was a very outstand ing missionary. Mrs. Skidmore has been teaching school, in Edward's absence. This will be a very happy reunion for them and their small son and we are all looking forward o hearing Edward's mission report in the near future. Marlon Steele visited with his oarents over the weekend and he had with him Dean Rawlinson, a cousin from Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Munster made a trip to Salt Lake City last week. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Jensen visited in Salt Lake last week and Marie also had a final check-up by her doctor, who stated that Marie is ?oming along fine. Mr. and Mrs. Herald Petersen and Mr. and Mrs. Heber Tippetts have gone on a trip to California and Arizona. They plan to visit the Los Angeles Temple, and the Mesa Temple on their tour. The Seminary dance of last week was a huge success. Many of the Seminary students from Sutherland participated, including Howard Clay ton. president of the Seminary. We are sorry to hear of Mrs. Josie Walker's illness and hope she will have a speedy recovery. Mr. Stewart Taylor has gone to Inglewood, California to join his brother Fallet, in the house build ing contracting business. The Relief Society conference was held Sunday evening with President Deon Erickson presiding and conducting. Talks were given by Deon, Cora Larsen, Nella Jackson, Jack-son, first councilor, and Bishop Tippetts, also Mrs. Ora Gardner, Stake Board member gave a talk on the organization of the Relief Society. The Singing Mothers furnished furn-ished the musical numbers conducted conduc-ted by Chorister Bessie Webb. Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Jones and family spent the weekend in Smith-field Smith-field where they attended the farewell testimonial of Ruth's brother. bro-ther. Noble, who will leave soon to fill a two year mission. Mr. Phillip Moody spent the weekend visiting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Moody. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Milner from Spanish Fork visited with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Jen-son, Jen-son, also Rulon and son Dean and Clifton Jenson,. from Spanish Fork, visited with their parents. Mrs. LeAuer Shields and baby daughter Julie Rae, from Garrison, visited with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Jenson and Mr. and Mrs. Rod Shields. She brought Carol Barben home, after her visit with her at Garrison. Nola Shields, from CSU at Cedar City, visited over the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rod Shields and family. Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Losee made a trip to Dugway over the weekend. John Hersleff has returned after spending a few weeks out at Garrison, Gar-rison, and Baker Nevada, working. Fridav nieht the Ward gave a party for the out going officers, of the four organizations: the Relief Society, the Primary, the Young ladies Mutual and the Sunday School. Each one present was given a fresh flower. The time was spent dancing. Doughnuts and hot cocoa were served. Sunday night the Relief Society held their conference, presided over by President June Losee. The theme was "Better Reading of the Church Books." Sister Alpha Niel- son of the Stake board was the visitor, with her husband. Song by the congregation, "Ere You Left Your Room." Prayer, Venice Davis; talks by June Losee and Doris Abbott. Ab-bott. Song by Singing Mothers, lead by Choral Clark and accompanied by Virginia Jensen. Talks by Melva Shields, Bishop Harold Jensen and Sister Alpha Nielson. Song by the Singing Mothers. "I Walked In God's Garden." Prayer by Evelyn Shields. A large crowd was out. Many were out on "Trick or Treat" on Hallowe'en. We had fun and so did the kids. We only hope no one had to be treated for the Tummy ache. also again on Wednesday for the Primary. There were many interesting interest-ing characters portrayed at both entertainments. Refreshments were also served at both parties. The Relief Society Bazaar will be held on the fifteenth of November at the chapel. Don't forget to participate parti-cipate and support this organization. organiza-tion. There will be many lovely and useful articles to be sold and aways food supplies to tempt your appetite. We have missed Grandpa Ogden the last week or so, and surely wish for him a lot of food health in the future. Ray Tippetts will stay in Hurricane Hurri-cane with his grandparents, while hiis folks make the tour to cam ornia. Marchelle Church was honored last week with a birthday party given by her mother. Many or Marchelle's friends attended and had an enjoyable time. Among the things of life are the meanings we allow words to take unto themselves. There are many words whose sounds are sweet be cause of what connote, such as warmth and love, home and friends peace and quiet, comfort and kindness, and so many more. Then there is the word Clean. Mr. and Mrs. Randle Swensen spent Saturday and Sunday in Ely, Nevada, with the Don Larsens and the Neil Larsens. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kolan were weekend visitors at the Orlando Hepworth home. The Kolans live in LehL Three new babies were given a name and a blessing Sunday in sacrament meeting. They were Sandra Lynn, daughter of Dale and Launita Slaughter Eishop. The Poultry Industry Women to Meet in Salt Lake City I 1 Mrs. Edna Ohlwiler Women of the poultry Industry from all parts of Utah and southern south-ern Idaho will gather in Salt Lake city Saturday, November 17, for the annual meeting of the Women's Auxiliary of the Utah Poultry and Farmers Cooperative. The meetings will be held at the Third Ward Amusement Hall at Seventh South and West Temple. Mrs. Edna Ohlwiler, Ohl-wiler, president, will be in charge. A meeting of presidents and directors di-rectors of the local poultry associations assoc-iations also will be held with Wendell Wen-dell Ohlwiler, president, presiding. The meetings will be open to all men and women interested in the poultry industry in Utah. The ses sions will start at 10 a.m. and will continue through the afternoon. A luncheon will be served. The Women's Auxiliary has car ried on a "Better Egg Care" cam paign for several years. The auxi liary also has participated In the highly successful youth program carried on by the cooperative. A new project is planned for 1957 and plans will be outlined at the Nov ember 17 meeting. Farm income tax problems will be discussed by an expert from the Department of Internal Revenue. Rev-enue. Discussion on the new federal program for social security for farmers and self-employed workers also is planned. Officers for 1957 will be chosen by the euxiliary members at the meeting. Present leaders are: Mrs. Edna Ohlwiler of Paradise, president; presid-ent; Mrs. Glenda Cooper of Fillmore, Fill-more, vice president; Mrs. Jesse Tanner of Loa, director; and Mrs. Ida Hunt of Magna, director. ordnance performed by the baby's father. The congregation sang, "Glory to God on High." The prayers were given by LaVern Theobald and Ar-villa Ar-villa Swensen. ' Angie Pratt gave the welcoming address, she spoke on the duties and benefits of Relief Society and encouraged the young mothers to attend. 1st Counselor Adelle Peter an spoke on "Seek Ye Out of the Best Books, Words of Wisdom . Clarissa Blake spoke on "Wise Council I Have Found in the Book of Mormon." Special musical numbers by the Hinckley Relief Society Singing Mothers, directed by Wynnie Wright and accompanied by Ruth Talbot were "Teach Me. O Lord", and "Let Us Oft Speak Kind Words." Remarks by Bishop Roy Hilton and Stake vistor Harriet Eliason. Mr. Eldon Eliason was also in ttpndance.
