Banks drove to Milford on Wednesday and made an overnight stay with Mrs. Maurine Miller and family. Thursday evening Elder Banks was honored at a party. He was presented with a traveling case from the High Priests Quorm and other items. The men, he worked work-ed with on the Railroad gave him a brief case. Mr. and Mrs. Lile Johnson and Ross visited in Tooele Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Bernell Tolbert and children. Their little son was given the name of Richard. The Tolberts are moving into Salt Lake City where Bernell is employed. FOB BETTER RESULTS ADVERTISE IN THE CHRONICLE The Deseret Primary officers and teachers held a Hallowe'en party Wednesday afternoon for all the Primary children. A good time was had by the children. Some were cos turned. Refreshments were served. Bishop and Mrs. Cecil Warner spent Wednesday at Fillmore. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Deardon from Garrison visited a couple of days during the week with Bishop and Mrs. Cecil Warner. Mr, and Mrs. Frank Black and son Carlos, were in Salt Lake City on Wednesday. Congratulations this week to Mr. and Mrs. Donald Croft and their new daughter born Nov. 1; and to Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hardy and their new daughter born Nov. 2. Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Christensen from Salt Lake City spent Saturday Satur-day and Sunday with Sheldon's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Christensen. Christen-sen. June L. The High Priests of the Deseret Ward held their banquet Saturday evening at the Church House. Mr. and Mrs. Max Eliason and children from Los Angeles, Calif., arc visiting with Max's parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Eliason. In Testimony meeting Sunday, the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tincoln EJiason was blessed. She was given the name of Sylvia Cleo and was blessed by her father. Mrs. Mandy Dewsnup returned Klee Finlinson ' Mrs. Maurva Whiting came down last Tuesday to get her mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. John D. Evans and take them to her home for a visit. They stayed until Friday afternoon when Mr. and Mrs. Whiting Whit-ing drove them back home. The group went on to Delta to visit Friday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Bus Shields. Mrs. Essie Anderson is back in town after spending the summer visiting with her sons and daughters daugh-ters in Springville, Orem and Salt Lake City. Mrs. Walker Finlinson and her daughter Margene, spent Monday in Spanish Fork shopping and having hav-ing dental work done. Miss Ilaurlene Anderson spent the weekend with Miss Margene Finlinson. Sunday evening services presented present-ed by the Ward Relief Society was conducted by President Wanda Niel son. Secretary Louise Lovell read the line-up of officers and teachers for sustaining. Two changes had been made, Laura Nelson was re leased as councelor and Joy Nielson' put in. Eva Dutson was sustained' as magazine director, taking Essie Anderson's place. The program consisted of song by the Singing Mothers, "Teach Me, O Lord". Talk on "Value of Good Books" by Laura Nelson; "Inspirational Parts of the Book of Mormon to Me" toy Gene Bradfield. Remarks by Bishop John M. Nielson and Stake Board Relief Society counselor Belva Morris. A song "by the Singing Mothers, "I Shall Not Pass Again This Way." Prayers were offered by Eva Dutson Dut-son and Louise Nielson. David Nielson was advanced to Priest Sunday morning in his Priest hood work. Fast meeting found several babies to be blessed, they were:: Mr. and Mrs. Lavar Dutson of Kearns. brought their wee one to be given the name of Vicky Lynn, by her grandfather Jay Nelson. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon . Nielson had their liittle girl named Peggy Ann. and given a blessing toy her grandfather Spencer Nielson. Mr. and Mrs. Rav Johnson named the new babv girl LaRee.
