The programs and the donors are Bread Demonstration, Standard Brands. Inc.; Dress Revue, Simplicity Simpli-city Pattern Co. Inc; Recreation and Rural Arts, United States Rubber Rub-ber Co., and Soil-Water Conservation, Conservat-ion, Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. Awards are the same as last year excepting in the Bread Demonstration Dem-onstration and Recreation-Rural Arts programs. In the first named program, gold-filled Instead of sterling silver medal of honor will be awarded to county Individual and team members. In Recreation and Rural Arts program, County Cash awards have been changed to $20.00 to a specified number of clubs of each State; the state winner win-ner receives an all-expense trip to the 1954 National 4-H Club Congress in Chicago instead of a $37.50 scholarship, and the national nation-al awards are six $300.00 college scholarships instead of 12 trips to the National 4-H Club Congress. Shiplty Primary Conference was held Sunday evening a very good program pro-gram was given. The theme was "A Testimony Grows". Each class gave a part. Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Tousley of Palo Alto, California are the parents of a baby born April 27. Mrs. Tousley is the former Donna Dutson. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Dut-son Dut-son left Saturday for Palo Alto to be with the proud parents and the new arrival. Mrs. Pearl Johnson and Mrs. Emma Em-ma Boise of Fresno, Cal., visited a night and day with Mr. and Mrs. Dean Harder last week. The ladies were enroute from Miss., to their home in California. Miss Margene Finlinson, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Walker Finlinson Finlin-son underwent an operation Thursday Thurs-day morning in the Juab County hospital in Nephl. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Lovell were in Salt Lake visiting with Mrs. Margaret Mar-garet Ritchie last week end. They expect to go up this weekend and take Mrs. Ritchie to spend Mothers day with Mr. and Mrs. Austin Wil-lden. Wil-lden. They report Mrs. Ritchie in good health. Mrs. John Evans enjoyed the company of her children and her brothers and sisters on the occasion occ-asion of her birthday Saturday Sixteen guests enjoyed dinner together to-gether at the Evans home. Mr. Dell Bradfield was returned to the Nephl hospital Saturday following a relapse that was feared fear-ed would develop Into pneumonia. He was in critical condition at this writing. Welby Lovell returned home from the LDS hospital a week ago Sunday. His leg is in a complete cast but he Is tearing to get a-round a-round some with the aid of crutches. crut-ches. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Murray Jr. and small son visited over night last week with Mr. and Mrs. Karl Murray and family. Hugh Just returned re-turned from Korea recently wtiere he served with the Armed Forces. He Is now in California. The Hinckley Elementary School Teachers and students arc to be complimented on the dance Frolic there last Friday. Everything was so well organized and the children child-ren did their dances so well in their bright costumes. Last Tuesday was "Clean - Up Day" at the church and a good group of folks turned out to work Believe me It was a full day be ing as it was also the day for "School Elections". Relief Society and Primary. Each family was asked to bring five Posts for the fence and those who could not were to pay the garden Club the equivalent of the posts. The men folks built a good fence around the plot of ground west of the Chapel and It was sowed to lawn seed and straw hauled on the top. Everyone was to meet again Wednesday Wed-nesday to finish the fencing on the back. The women really cleaned the church and a Hot Pot Luck lunch dinner was served to everyone at noon. Correlation Meeting was held Monday evening for Officers and Teachers of the ward and plans made for the Concert by the "Desert "Des-ert Sentinels" May 31. Margaret Masters and her husband are going to be there as special guests and we are certain everyone will enjoy en-joy meeting them that evening. The ladies are holding a Bake Sale this Saturday in Delta and featuring Mothers Day Cakes. So remember to treat mother to a cake already baked this Sunday by buying one at the Abraham Bake Sale. The Youngs and several of the young fellows around started on the cattle drive last week out to the ranch. 4-11 Breakfast Club met at the home ot Marie Finlinson for their first 4-H meeting. Club members present were Wio na Alldredgo, Carolyn Roper, Alice Jacobson, Virginia Nielson, Delia Jacohson, Margeret Alldredge, Marie Finlinson, and their mothers were present. - Reporter Alice Jacobson Eb Stanley was a patient in the Fillmore LDS hospital several days last week fur medical care, and Monday he and Mrs. Stapley were in Salt Lake City, where Eb went to the clinic and had X-rays. Thurso May 6. 1954 AC Reed C, Bunker, who has been at Reese AFB, Texas, with the Student Squadron writes this week to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lamond Bunker, that he is being be-ing sent to Lackland AFB, for placement tests, and theri will be reassigned. Reed was at Reese AFB for pilot training, but on account of a head injury last June, was unable to complete his course. He had been employed in the post-office post-office at Reese during the past month. He has two more years to serve in the Air Force. Mr. and rMs. Clyde Underbill visited friends and relatives in Cal.. last week, and wil return to Delta at the end of this week.
