Mrs. Cecil Losee drove to Payson Tuesday with her sons Paul and the baby boy for an overnight stay, while Paul had his tonsils removed at the hospital there. Army Pvt. Don P.. Larson, whose wife, Marjorie lrelund Larscn lives n Delta, is serving with the 4th Infantry Division in Germany. The "Ivy division is receiving Intensive field training in Southern South-ern Germany as part of the NATO Army. Mr rnd Mrs. Leon Theobald, from Bols-, Idaho, visited in Delta over the weekend with their parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. LeGrande Law, and took home again their three children af'er a visit with the grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Theobald Theo-bald had been in Salt Lake City for the convention of Old American Amer-ican Life Company, where they had charge of the program for the second year. The DelTones, Carolyn Callister, Elaine Sorensen. and Phyllis Kay Moody, were regain re-gain featured on the program with several songs. Mrs. Matine Gardner was a guest at J-iiV? Arts Club meeting Monday Mon-day night, and gave a program, which was a talk on needlepoint, its history, and a display of needle point Mrs. Gardner has made. The meeting was at the home of Mrs. Mary Moody, with Mrs. Deona Black as assistant hostess, with lunch served. After the program, pro-gram, the group went to Mrs. Gardner's home to see hooked rugs and other pieces of needlepoint needle-point she has made. Mrs. Lenore Gardner was chairman of the program. pro-gram. The party was no-hostess, and present were Eleanor Roberts, Jane Reid, Dora Munster, Lois Hinckley, Beulah Bassett, Fern Mortensen, Lois Maxfield, Ruby Vodak, Elaine Knight, Dorothy Steele, Verna Shepherd and Vi Robinson. Table prizes at cards were given to Mrs. Hinckley, Mrs. Bassett and Mrs. Munster. Election was held for the coming com-ing year, and new officers are Eleanor Roberts, president, and June Reid, secretary. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Petersen visited in Sait Lake Tuesday with Mr. and Mrs. Nels Petersen. On their return trip they brought Mrs. Margaret Jensen back as far as Provo. Margaret attends school at the BYU. Mr. and Mrs. Hon Cropper gave a farewell dinner Wednesday night in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Gam Moody and daughter who are returning re-turning to California. Mrs. Ruth Robinson was hostess host-ess to the Hinckley Rook Club Wednesday night. Dinner was served ser-ved at 8:30 followed by cards. Members present were Angie Pratt Vie Robinson, Verna Anderson, Dol-pha Dol-pha Bishop, Lois Wilson, Helen Shurtliff, Bertha Love, Thora Petersen, Pet-ersen, May Cropper, Arvilla Workman, Work-man, Nina Mecham, Beryl Hardy, Arvilla Swensen, Ruth Talbot, and Belva Morris. Guests were Phyllis Bennett, Beulah Black, Roma Eklns Reva Talbot and Julie Bliss. High score was held by Beryl Hardy, second by Belva Morris, low by Reva Tai'bot and Roma Ekins walked off with the guest prize and the grand slam traveling prize. New officers were elected for the coming year. Lois Wilson replaced Verna Anderson as president presi-dent and Arvilla Workman replaced re-placed Angie Pratt as Secretary. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Wood of Holden, Mrs. Rulon Sherwood and Mrs. Earl Hunter of Salt Lake attended the services of Mr. Hardy and then visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hardy. The Lions Club met Wednesday night in the school house. Every member was present. Mrs. Cluff Talbot was in charge of the dinner. din-ner. Marie Stevens of Salt Lake has been visiting the past week with her mother, Mrs. David Stevens and family. Mr. and Mrs. Cluff Talbot, Mr. and Mrs. George Ekins and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Morris attended the Lions and Lady Lions midwinter mid-winter banquet in Salt Lake Thursday Thur-sday night. The banquet for the ladies was held at Hotel Utah f"d the one for the men was at the Newhouse. Jr. and Mrs. L. R. Swensen and Mrs. Nina Mecham spent Friday 1 Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Ladd Cropper were in Provo on Saturday. Forrest Taylor, who has been serving with the armed forces, overseas, ov-erseas, landed in New York Dec-emebr Dec-emebr 23rd. He flew from there to Camp Carson, Colo., where he received re-ceived his release. He arrived in Hinckley on Monday, Jan. 4.
