Teic-liert, Teic-liert, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Teiehert, of Cokeville, Wyoming. The pair will exchange nuptial vows in the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple Tem-ple June 15. Dorothy was graduated in 1952 from Delta high school, and attended at-tended B.Y.U. during the past year where she was a member of the Deltone trio and the Cougarettes. Mr. Teiehert is a senior at the B.Y.U. and will graduate June 8. He is affiliated with Delta Phi and Sigma Gamma Epsilon. He served two and a half years in Finland as a missionary for the L.D.S. church. After their wedding the young couple will make a honeymoon trip in the Teton, and then return re-turn to Delta, where they will be honored at a weding reception, on Monday, June 22, in Delta first ward recreation hall. Roper, of Oak City, are announcing the approaching marriage of their daughter, Afton, to Mr. Howard Dutson, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Emery Dutson, of Oak City. The wedding ceremony will be solemnized Thursday, May 28 in the Manti L.DS. Temple. On the evening of May 30 there will be a wedding dance to honor the newly-weds in the Oak City recreation hall. Everyone is cordially cord-ially invited to attend. Miss LaDean Olsen, fifteen-year-old 4-H Club member from Cache County, Utah, is getting one of her steers in top shape for the 17th Annual Intermountain Junior Fat Stock Show to be held at Salt Lake City, June 3rd and 4th. Miss Olsen is a member of the Young Ward Beef Club and is in her fifth year of 4-H Club work in Cache County. Her club leader, is Dewey Dew-ey Olsen, an active 4-H Club leader lead-er and, incidentally, LaDean's father. South Traet Garden Club Patricia Teeples was hostess to the South Tract Garden Club mem bers Friday, May 22, on a garden tour. Members met at the Oasis church, where the Oasis Garden Club members showed them the church grounds and blue prints of how it will be in the years to come. They then gathered in the church where Mrs. Dorothy Bar-ben Bar-ben gave a short reading, and Mrs. Russell Styler gave information informa-tion on lilacs. The Oasis Garden Club served light refreshments. It was a pleasure plea-sure to see what had been done to improve the church building and grounds. The South Tract members then journyed to Deseret, where they visited to beautiful grounds at the home of Mrs. Ruth Dewsnup, well planned and blooming. Home made cookies were served to the visitors. A new member welcomed into the South Tract group is Mrs. Lena Teterson. Mr. and Mrs. LaClede Teeples with Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Anderson, Ander-son, attended the state Garden Club convention at St. George. Sngarville BY VENICE DAVIS Mrs. Ella Whitehead from Poca-tello, Poca-tello, Idaho visited with her niece Mrs.' Rom Shields, Friday. It has been 26 years since they have seen each other. Doc and Ella Black brought her out and visited with them also. Mrs. Lily Memmott visited in Manti with her mother, Mrs. Jensen. Jen-sen. They also spent two days in the Temple there. Miss Carolyn Boothe has gone to Torrence Cal., to visit, and work. Laurence Shields and family spent the weekend in Tooele. Barbara Shurtz had a party for her Lark class in Primary, and honored Melva Shields, who is leaving the class as leader. Those attending were Glenda Memmott, Virginia Jensen, Gloria Larsen and Sandra Terry. Junior Garden Clubs Hep or I Junior Garden Clubs " recently organized by Mrs. Zola Bunker in the six elementary schools in West Millard, Delta, Hinckley, Sutherland Oak City, Lynndyl and Leamington, Leaming-ton, are now busily at work on their gardens, with hopes that warm weather will soon be here to bring up their flowers for the show scheduled next September. A thousand packets of seeds, furnished by Hazel Gronning, Bonnie Bon-nie Rae Bunker, Hettie Johnson, Nina Johnson, Ellen Morrill and Zola Bunker, were distributed to 850 pupils for planting. The young gardners will care for their own garden plots. Mrs. Thera Davis attended the funeral services in Tooele Tuesday for her brother, Clarion D. Peterson, Peter-son, 29, who died last Friday. He was a veteran of World War II and a TOD employe. The Garden Club made a trip to the Delta cemetery to clean up the graves for Decoration Day. Mrs. Lily Searle, Mrs. Ruby Spears and a friend came down from Salt Lake City to spend her birthday with Mrs. Henrietta Bar-ben, Bar-ben, their sister Sunday night meeting was very pleasant as Brother Roy Hilton brought the program which was enjoyed by all. First on the program pro-gram was a talk by Brother Swensen, a piano duet by Lula Marie Hilton and Maxine Reeve, accompanied by Maxine Reeve. Then a talk by Roy Hilton, Mrs. Hilton came with them, also we had visitors, the workers on our chapel. Brother Oakes and Brother Henrie and wife.
