The difference is that the bigger, thriftier one was fed an aureomycin supplement, a product of Ledeile Laboratories Division of American Cyanamid Company, from the day it was born until it was three months old; the other had no aureomycin. With Mr. Hoag is Ian Pritchard, right, of the University of Vermont which supplied the aureomycin used in a statewide series of such feeding experiments by Vermont farmers. West Millard Delegates At UCA Meet Officers and members of the West Millard Co-op and the Oasis Seed Co-op, recently returned from Salt Lake City where they attended attend-ed dedicatory exercises of the new $350,000 Utah Cooperative Association Associa-tion plant. ' Among those attending -were W. Wallace Holman, and Val Styler. Mr. Holman Is president of the newly-organized West Millard Coop. Co-op. Many farmers in this area are among the 7000 Utah farmers wha own million dollar UCA. The Millard County delegation with a throng of other Utah farmers farm-ers heard James Patton, president of the National Farmers Union, explain ex-plain the value of cooperatives and point out that Co-ops "help to equalize the farmer's position in the market place", He stressed the need of Federal assistance to agricultural agri-cultural research and asked for governmental support of "100 per cent of parity straight across the board" for farm products. Elder LeGrand Richards of the Council of the Twelve of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Latter-day Saints offered the dedicatory prayer, expressing gratitude for the new structure and dedicating it for the purpose of transacting useful use-ful commodity exchanges of Utah farm groups. The new structure includes 30, 000 square feet of floor space. In Its four divisions are a seed plant, fertilizer mixing operation, warehouse, ware-house, and office building! Delta Loses To American Fork In Semi Finals The Delta high school baseball team lost their second game this year, to American Fork, last Thursday, Thurs-day, at American Fork, 16 to 3. This will end the baseball season sea-son this year for Delta, and because be-cause only the first two places are determined in the state, there will be no play off between Delta and Bingham, (the losers of the Bingham-Monroe game). Monroe and American Fork will play Thursday, May 28, to determine det-ermine the state championship. This is Coach Bruce Osborne's last year at the DHS, and we can certainly ' say that he will always al-ways be remembered as a man, and for the wonderful job of coaching he has done for Delta high school. In football, he has really done a good job. This year didn't look very successful at the first of the year, when coach saw the little guys coming out for football, but he went to work, and worked twice twi-ce as hard with them, and told each one what he had to do, adn he had them ending up second in this division.' In wrestling, two years we have taken third in the state, and first in the state in the Class B schools. Baseball, he has led Delta to four straight Divisional and Regional Re-gional championships, and 2nd in the state last year. Besides just winning, he has built character, and made sportsmen out o'f the boys that will never be forgot. I wish him all the luck in his new job.
