(b) To amend Article VII of the Articles of Incorporation to read as follows: ARTICLE VII The number and kind of officers of this corporation shall be as follows: fol-lows: The officers of this corporation shall consist of a board of seven (7) Directors. A president; a Vice President, and a Secretary and a Treasurer. The President and Vice President shall be members of the Board of Dirctors. The Secretary and Treasurer may be one and the same person. In order to be eligible eli-gible to an office In this corporation, corpora-tion, except that of Secretary and Treasurer, the holder shall be the owner, as shown by the stock book of this company, of at least one (1) share of the capital stock thereof. Four (4) Directors shall constitute a quorum, and shall be authorized to transact the business and exercise the corporate powers of this corporation. The Board of Directors of this corporation shall be elected, as herein provided, provid-ed, at the Annual Meeting of the shareholders, to be held at the general office of the corporation upon the 1st Tuesday in February of each year, at the hour of 2 o'clock p. m. of said day. The term of office of the Directors in said corporation, except those first elected pursuant to this amendment, amend-ment, shall be for two (2) years, and until their successors shall be duly elected and shall have qualified. All officers shall hold office until their successors have been duly elected and shall have qualified. At the Annual Meeting of the stockholders to be held on the 1st Tuesday of February, 1954, there shall be elected four (4) Directors to hold office for a term of two (2) years, and three (3) Directors to hold office for a period of one (1) year. Thereafter, at each annual an-nual election, the successors to the Directors whose term shall expire In that year, shall be elected elec-ted to hold office for a term of two (2) years. There shall be held on the 1st Tuesday In February of each year, beginning with the year 1954, at 2 o'clock p.m. of said day, at the general office of the corporation, an Annual Meeting of the Stockholders Stock-holders of this corporation for the election of the members of the Board of Directors whose terms shall have expired In that year, and for the transaction of such other business as may lawfully come before said meeting. The Board of Directors of the corporation corpora-tion shall elect the other officers of the corporation and such officers offi-cers -shall hold office during the pleasure of the Board. Any officer may resign by filing a written resignation of office with the Secretary Sec-retary of the company, or In case of the resignation of the Secretary, with the President or Vice President Presi-dent of the company. Mr. and Mrs. Vawn Morris of Pioche spent the weekend al the home of Mr. and Mrs. Will Bunker. They were on their way to Salt Lake City to attend the funeral of an uncle of Mrs. Morris' Fireside Chat lor the Junior Gleaners and Junior M-Men was held at the home of Heber Rose with "Youth Problem" being discussed dis-cussed with Ben Robison, Reid Tippetts and Frank Lyman there 16 help answer and discuss them with the youth of the ward. Also the MIA Maids and Explorers Ex-plorers held a Fireside Chat at the home of Ivan Sorenson. Mr. M. Ward Moody showed his films and gave an interesting talk on Hawaii. Visitors at Sunday School were Mr. Howard Ruff and Mr. John Tyegart of the BYU. Mr. Ruff sang two solos which were enjoyed by all present. Mr. Ruff is a music director at BYU. Myrle Barney was home for the weekend. Myrle is employed at Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Porter attended funeral services at Spring City for an uncle of Mrs. Porter. Home for the weekend from school were Virginia Henrie, Dorothy Dor-othy Corry, Elaine Sorenson, Donald Don-ald May. Boyd Jenkins, Delta resident of years ago and now living in Spanish Span-ish Fork, visited in Delta Tuesday. Will Receive Bids The Millard County Commissioners Commission-ers will receive bids on a quanitity of 30 drums of 2-4-D ethyl ester of butyl ester type weed spray at their next regular commissioners' meeting on February 4, 1953. News BY ARLENE CGDEN BY ARLENE OGDEN Follies In behalf of the music department, depart-ment, under the direction of Evan Christensen, we wish to thank the j public for the fine support during dur-ing our annual production of the Follies. Parents' Day Parent's Day at Delta High school sch-ool has been set for February 12. Speaker fur the event will be W. Cleon Skausea , director of the alumni and public service at the Brigham Young University. Mr. Skausen was an agent for the F.B.I, for several years, and is rated as an outstanding speaker. The evening program will be put on by some of the BYU students. Exchange Assembly Thursday, Jan., 29, an Agriculture Agricult-ure foreign exchange student will tell of tier experiences in France. The assembly will be held at 1 P. M. Polio Drive The polio drive is well under way at the high school. Our first big donation was $10.00, from the Ag. Club. The class donating the most money will be honored at a free movie. We wish to thank the public for donating to this worthy cause at our last home game.
