Gardner arrived home Monday evening, after spending spend-ing ten days in Cedar City with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Reid Gardner. She reports re-ports a very enjoyable visit. Thursday Mrs. H. R. Spurrier and son, Stanton, visited in Lehl. Mrs. Kate Anderson, who has been spending spend-ing the winter In Salt Lake City at the Spurrier home, returned home with her. Mr. and Mrs. Howard James of Ogden and Elmo Gray, whd Is attending at-tending the U. S. A. C. at Logan, spent the week end In Lehl with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Gray. In order that Lehi citizens may know of the accomplishments made , by the music and band students of the Lehi high school, the ratings and classifications given the students stu-dents by the judges at the recent district music festivals are published pub-lished as follows: Lehi High School Mixed chorus-Membership chorus-Membership about 63 Judge, Dr. Franklin Madsen. The conducting and accompaniment accompani-ment are highly superior. The comment made by the Judge was, "Lehl should be proud of this cultural asset." Lehl Band Inspection Two dirty reeds looked like dried blood on them. One dirty dir-ty cornet. Four caps not on straight. Judge R. S. TRAFFIC TALK TO BE GIVEN IN FIRST WARD TUESDAY A member of the Utah Traffic Safety Council will give a lecture next Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock p. m. in the First ward Relief so ciety hall, the affair being sponsored spon-sored by the Relief , society organization organ-ization of that ward. Everyone in the community is Invited In-vited to be present. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Miller were visiting In Helper Saturday, as guests of Mr. Miller's sister, Mrs. Ralph Boren. Mr. and Mrs. Ferrin Miner and children of Salt Lake City spent Sunday visiting with Mrs. Miner's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Patrick. Mr. and Mrs. I. L. Citizens Contribute Shrubbery For Tabernacle To aid in the beautification project proj-ect of our new tabernacle grounds, several citizens have contributed shrubbery as follows: M. S. Stake officials were in Salt Lake City Wednesday selecting the remainder re-mainder of the shrubbery needed for the beautification program. M. S. Lott will have charge of the planting. Rebekah President Will Visit Lehi On Tuesday, April 30, Mrs. Sylvia S. Carey, president of the Rebekah Assembly of Utah, will make her official visitation to the local lodge, Ivy No. 13, in the I. O. O. F. hall at 8 p. m. A short closed session will be held after which a "get together," to-gether," social chat, speeches by the president and other officers, and refreshments will be enjoyed. Anyone interested in the Order is invited. A crowd is expected from other lodges as well aa members of the local lodge. The Rebekah lodge is the woman's wom-an's branch of the Odd Fellows lodge and has a membership of over 640,000. It was organized in America in 1851 and in Utah in 1888. It has .a state membership of over 900 . members , in 24 lodges In all parts of the state. A new lodge was instituted in Myton on April 6. Last year the I. O. O. F. dispensed over $3,000,000 in relief of the distressed. President Roosevelt, Roose-velt, Vice President Garner, Senators Sen-ators Johnson of Colorado, the late Senator Borah, and Logan are all members of the Odd Fellows lodge. The I. O. O. F. also has an educational edu-cational fund which enables the deceased de-ceased Odd Fellows and Rebekah's children to gain an education. Miss Dorothy Williams underwent under-went an operation for appendicitis at the local hospital Saturday. A fine baby son was born at the local hospital Thursday to Mr. and Mrs. Howard Jacobson of Provo. Mother and baby are doing nicely. Elbert Stoker, who underwent a major operation at the hospital several days ago, is reported to be improving nicely. Mrs. Karl Webb and new baby daughter were removed to their home from the hospital, Tuesday. Mrs. Wendell Keetch was removed to her home from the hospital Sunday. Sun-day. Mrs. W. Her many friends and relatives are cordially invited to call during the day and visit with her. MISSIONARY RETURNS HOME FOR TREATMENT Ernest L. Allred, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Allred, arrived in Salt Lake City Sunday from the Northwestern North-western States mission for rest and treatment at the L. D. S. hospital. Ernest left for the mission field in March and had only been there a short time when it was thought advisable by the mission president to send him to the hospital for rest and treatment. His parents were notified of his arrival In Salt Lake by telegram. Miss Zina Anderson spent Tuesday Tues-day visiting in Provo. Mrs. Sarah E.
