They were rewarded with a fun ice-cream party. Special thanks to the 112 parents and 30 faculty who have joined our PTA. Congratulations to Jason Lott (Kelsie Lott's dad). He was the winner of our drawing for two rounds of golf at Tri City Golf Course. The drawing was for all dads who joined the PTA. It's never to late to join the PTA. This month's heroes are students Elisse Lines and Mitch Peterson, school hero Paula Fugal, and community communi-ty hero Craig Smith. Eighth grader, Elisse Lines is the third of six daughters of Ray and Sharon Lines of Pleasant Grove. She is a very good student who loves to read, cook, sew, and participate in gymnastics. Her nominators nomina-tors say she is always friendly, happy and kind to everyone. She never says negative or mean things about others, oth-ers, and her kind thoughts and actions rub off on the people around her. Her mother said she is very concerned con-cerned about others, and aware of their needs. Mitch Peterson, ninth grade, is the son of Ron and Bonnie Peterson. He is the third of five children. Mitch is a hero because he has a positive attitude and is a leader in standing for the right. He is a good student and plays the cornet in Jazz Band. His parents say he is very responsible and is the electronic fix-it man at home. He also enjoys scouting, scout-ing, hunting, and video games. One of her nominators said, "She looks for excuses to reward students and is constantly encouraging them to do even better. She disciplines with fairness and firmness, but even while disciplining, she tries to build students up. Of all the educators I know, Paula is motivated more than anyone any-one else by a pure desire to help students." Mrs, Fugal is also an advocate for teachers. She is very supportive of teachers teach-ers and does whatever she can to make their jobs easier. easi-er.
