He married mar-ried Nina Sykes on Dec. 21, 1943 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They have been married 58 years. Cecil attended school in American Fork and graduat ed with a doctorate in education edu-cation from BYU. He worked for Alpine School District for 38 years as a teacher, principal and administrator. He has served as a bishop, bish-op, stake clerk and currently current-ly serves as a stake patriarch patri-arch and an ordinance worker in the Mount Timpanogos LDS Temple. He has five children: Kathy Hansen, Leila (John) Gardiner and James (Pennie) Hansen, all of American Fork; Elizabeth (Kim) Hansen, South Jordan; and Jorge (Mary-Kate) (Mary-Kate) Suxo-Sanchez, Lehi. He has 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, with two on the way.
