Show r New Utah! - Wednesday, May 17, 2000 - B Romah Peterson Ramah MaJlett Peterson, 94, passed 15, 2000 of age-related causes. She was born November 28, 1905 in American Fork. Her husband , Willard E (Bill) Peterson preceded her in death in October of 1972. She is survived by four of their five children; sons, Bill and Carol Peterson, Henderson, NV: Don and Melissa Peterson, Woodland Hills; daughters, Ramah Jean (deceased) and Clark Mortenson, Provo; Cheri and Brent Theurer, Orem; Lana and Garold Seamons, Murray. Also, 21 grandchildren, 46 greatgrandchildren, great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Ramah was well known in the community where she worked in the restaurant business busi-ness and real estate. She was active in the LDS church with drama, scouts, and teaching. She loved American Fork with all its beauty and mourn tains. She loved her garden and kept her yard beautiful. Her roses were her pride and joy, and she named one for each of her girls. She won awards in the Steel Days flower shows. Wilma Van Wilma (Billie) Curtis Parker Van Bennekum, age 80, sweet mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away on May 4, 2000, at the American Fork Hospital, following fol-lowing a courageous battle with several long r -, K ; term illnesses. illness-es. Billie was born August 13, 1919, at home in Searsport, Maine, to Dr. William Curtis and Elizabeth Pendleton Havener. She married Myron Frederick Parker Jr. on August 14, 1940. Their daughter, Suzanne Elizabeth, was born from this union. Myron died in a car accident acci-dent on November 15, 1943. She married Cornelius Van Bennekum in Searsport on August 29, 1945. He passed away May 23, 1986. Billie graduated from Forsyth Dental College in 1939 as a dental den-tal hygenist. She also worked as a bookkeeper for several banks in Maine and New Jersey, but the William Jay Storrs William Jay Storrs, 79, died May 12, 2000, at his home in American Fork. He was born February 1, 1921 in Provo, Utah. He married Bareen Gray June 23, 1946 in Elko, Nev., and they were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple June 23, 1955. He was a Veteran of WWII serving in the Army Air Corp. She will also join and meet her father for the first time as he died before she was born. As she requested, Billie will be cremated and her ashes spread over Penobscot Bay in her beloved Maine, the place she always called home.
