RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY PROP-ERTY A 56-year-old man was arrested for receiving stolen property and money laundering. launder-ing. The man owns a local pawn shop and was buying stolen property and gift cards that were stolen and then re-selling them for profit. INTOXICATION - A 35-year-old man and a 32-year-old man were arrested for intoxication. Officers responded to a medical call at a residence. One of the me was extremely intoxicated and had fallen and injured his head. When medical personnel attempted at-tempted to assist the victim the other man was very belligerent and yelling obscenities to medical medi-cal personnel, making it difficult for them to attend to the victim. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ASSAULT AS-SAULT - A 34-year-old man was arrested for domestic violence vio-lence assault in the presence of children. The man got into an argument with his wife and grabbed her by the neck and pushed her to the ground. This occurred in front of their children. chil-dren. FICER - A 25-year-old man was arrested for impersonating and officer and an active arrest warrant. The man was at a local grocery store and was wearing a police uniform he had obtained. He had a woman handcuffed and was fighting with her. A customer observed the incident and called the police because it appeared suspicious. The man had gotten the uniform for a Halloween Hal-loween costume and the woman was his wife. They said they were "play fighting." FORGERY - A 19-year-old man was arrested for forgery. The man had stolen several checks from his father and cashed them at local business. ALCOHOL PROBLEM - A 19-year-old man was arrested for possession of alcohol by a minor. Officers were called to a residence involving harassment and the man, who was under age, had alcohol in his possession. posses-sion. RETAIL THEFT - A 30-year-old woman was arrested for retail theft after she attempted to take clothing from a local business. CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE PROBLEM - A 33-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia parapher-nalia after he was stopped for a traffic violation. They will answer the charges in juvenile court. LEIII TRAFFIC ACCIDENT - On Sept. 21, vehicle went around a corner and the trailer they were towing overturned. TRAFFIC ACCIDENT - Sept. 21, passenger on a motorcycle believed she had been thrown from the motorcycle and awoke in the hospital. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE - A woman was booked into the Utah County Jail on Sept. 22 for domestic violence assault and intoxication charges. One was sent to Youth Court and one to Juvenile Court LINDON ASSAULT - On Oct. . 3 police met with a man concerning assault as-sault involving his son. The assault as-sault happened at Oak Canyon Junior High School after school hours. Officers talked with the victim and witnesses. They attempted at-tempted to talk with the suspect and were informed he was not available but would talk with police later. RETAIL THEFT - On Oct. . 3, officers responded to Wal-Mart on report that they had a man in custody for retail theft. After a short foot pursuit, officers took the suspect into custody. CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE PROBLEM - A vehicle was stopped for traffic violations t on Oct. . 3. During the stop, the driver was found to have a suspended sus-pended license. A K-9 was called and a K-9 sniff was conducted on the vehicle. During the sniff, the K-9 found drugs. PLEASANT GROVE ASSAULT - A mother called on Sept. 30 to report her son was in a fight. She provided suspect because my safety and my life are at stake. I have been hit once because a man rolled through a stop sign, across the railroad track and into my bike. Luckily, he saw me before impact and quickly braked his car, barely knocking me down. The only damage were my crushed glasses. The reporting party said her and her fiancee were out-of-town over the weekend. VEHICLE BURGLARY - Officers Of-ficers were dispatched to a vehicle burglary in progress on Oct. 3 after receiving reports of two witnesses detaining the suspect on scene. When officers arrived a juvenile was observed with multiple burglary tools and stolen property. A strong odor of alcohol was smelled coming from the suspect's mouth. The juvenile was placed under arrest and taken to Slate Canyon Juvenile Juve-nile Detention Center. Recovered were a wrist watch, MP3 player, tobacco, aviator sunglasses, flashlight and latex gloves. CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE PROBLEM - Officers responded respond-ed to a report of found drugs on Sept. 30. The reporting party had loaned her vehicle to her boyfriend boy-friend to go to work. When the vehicle was returned, there were five balloons of heroin in the driver's side door cargo pocket. The boyfriend was arrested for felony possession of heroin in a drug-free-zone and booked into the Utah County Jail. CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE PROBLEM - On Oct. 3, the driver of a vehicle was arrested for a valid warrant, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. parapher-nalia. A traffic stop was made and the driver was arrested for DUI and for a valid arrest warrant ROBBERY - Reporting party said on Sept. 30 that a man was in his vehicle. The reporting report-ing party tried to contain the suspect in the vehicle while he dialed 911. The suspect was able to exit there vehicle by pushing the door open. Once the suspect exited the vehicle, he hit the reporting party on the arm with the reporting party's backpack, which contained his computer. The suspect ran with the computer com-puter and backpack in hand. The reporting party chased the suspect for some time and lost sight of him. VEHICLE BURGLARY - Theft of property from a vehicle was reported on Sept. 30. There was no sign of forced entry. Taken were a MP3 player, blue tooth cell phone, Utah driver's license, social security card, credit card, cell phone charger, radar detector, detec-tor, and Sony cyber shot digital camera. THEFT Two individual were arrested for theft by deception at the high school on Oct. 1. SARATOGA SPRINGS THEFT Citizens Assisting Police Po-lice volunteers on patrol noticed a suspicious vehicle at a construction construc-tion site and called police. Police found two men suspected of taking tak-ing items from the site. One of the suspects also had an outstanding arrest warrant and was booked into the Utah County Jail. accidents. It might only be our word against theirs. Too much regulation will impose penalties upon us all. So, let us take the lead. Watch out for yourself.
