The owner of the stolen 2000 Silver Ford Expedition Expedi-tion stated his vehicle was parked in his garage with the keys left inside in-side the vehicle. The suspect may have gained entry into the garage by a side door that was left unlocked. un-locked. Another vehicle that was parked in the same garage had been gone through and several personal items had been stolen. BURGLARY - Police set up a containment area near 9600 N 6800 West in Highland on Feb. 27 on the report of a burglary in the area. Two male suspects were seen fleeing from the backyard of the burglarized home. Police searched for the suspects with a K-9 unit from American Fork Police, but were unable to locate the suspects. CHILD SEX ABUSE - Police are investigating the alleged sexual sex-ual assault of a five-year-old that took place at a business in Alpine on Feb. 28. DUI - Tyler Rogers, 29, of West Jordan, was arrested for DUI during a traffic stop in Highland on Feb. 28 for having an irregular driving pattern. Rogers failed field sobriety and breathalyzer tests, and was also charged with open container, denied driver's license and the traffic violation. AMERICAN FORK DRIVING-UNDER THE-INFLU-ENCE - A 48-year-old man was arrested for DUI, three counts of hit and run and open container. The man was involved in the first accident at 800 West Main Street, where he rear-ended a vehicle and then left the scene. He was involved in a second accident at 100 East Main Street, where he rear-ended a vehicle and left the scene. A third accident occurred at 50 South 500 East where he rear-ended a vehicle and left the scene. All three incidents occurred oc-curred within approximately a fifty-minute time frame. The vehicle was located by officers and the man was arrested arrest-ed for DUI and open container. RETAIL THEFT - A 19-year-old woman was arrested for retail theft after she attempted to take an over-the- counter cold medicine medi-cine from a local business. ASSAULT - An 18-year-old man was arrested for assault. The man got into a verbal confrontation confronta-tion with another man and then he hit the man and attempted to choke him. ASSAULT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VIO-LENCE A 24-year-old woman was arrested for assault domestic violence and criminal mischief domestic violence. The woman became upset with her parents when they turned off the Internet. She took a chair and threw it and then pushed her mother.-DUI mother.-DUI A 37-year-old female was arrested for DUI after she was stopped for a traffic violation. FALSE INFORMATION - A 38-year-old man was arrested for filing a false police report, solicitation of prostitution and an outstanding arrest warrant. A 28-year-old woman was arrested for false information to a police officer, prostitution, theft and an outstanding arrest warrant. The man had contacted the woman via the Internet. They made an agreement for her to come to American Fork and perform sexual acts. When the woman arrived she did not perform per-form what they had agreed to but she took the man's money and attempted at-tempted to leave. The man called the police filing a false report stating he was robbed. Officers located the woman, and she originally orig-inally gave them a false name. ' The woman was in possession of drug paraphernalia, and both the man and woman had outstanding outstand-ing warrants for their arrest. CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE PROBLEM - A 29-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officers were called to the man's residence on a medical call. Officers observed marijuana and paraphernalia on top of the man's television. He threw a box of ammunition ammu-nition at her and a lit cigarette, hitting her in the face. Officer located an open bottle of alcohol in the man's vehicle. The man was involved in a single vehicle accident acci-dent where he ran into a cement block wall. The woman and her adult sister got into an argument because be-cause the woman's ex-boyfriend, text messaged the sister. The woman became upset and assaulted as-saulted her sister. UNLAWFUL DETENTION - A 49-year-old man was arrested for unlawful detention. The man and his wife got into an argument and when she attempted to leave he blocked the doorway. RETAIL THEFT - 47-year-old man was arrested for retail theft after he attempted to take car batteries from a local business. TRESPASSING - An 18-year-old man and two 17-year-old boys were arrested for trespassing. trespass-ing. The man passed out, and the taxi cab driver contacted the police. BURGLARY ARREST - Two 19-year-old men and an 18-year-old man were arrested for burglary, bur-glary, theft of firearms, possession posses-sion of stolen property, criminal mischief, possession of a dangerous danger-ous weapon and possession of burglary tools. Officers responded to an alarm at a local business. When they arrived, they observed that the window of the business had been broken. Officers located one male suspect inside the business and two other male suspects in a vehicle near the business. The men had entered the business and taken several guns. They were in possession of other items that had been stolen from a business busi-ness in another city just prior to their committing the burglary in American Fork. ASSAULT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VIO-LENCE - A 29-year-old woman was arrested for assault domestic violence. The woman and her husband got into an argument, and she hit him in the face. FELONY DUI - A 26-year-old man was arrested for Felony DUI, alcohol restricted driver, expired registration, and license plates belonging be-longing to another vehicle, driver's license revoked alcohol, failure to signal and improper turn. CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE PROBLEM - A 19-year-old woman was arrested for retail theft, possession of marijuana and possession of a prescription, prescrip-tion, without a prescription. The woman attempted to take items from a local business and was in possession of the marijuana and a prescription. CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE PROBLEM - A 26-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman were arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. The subjects were observed by a citizen lighting and smoking a controlled substance from a piece of tinfoil. DUI A 25-year-old man was arrested ar-rested for DUI. The man was observed ob-served swerving on the roadway and then he ran off the road and hit into a power pole and tree. RETAIL THEFT - A 49-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman were arrested for retail theft after they attempted to change the price tags on several items at a local business. DISORDERLY CONDUCT - A 55-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct. The man went inside a local business and was upset over a contract with the business. The man started to yell obscenities and grabbing papers yelling at the manager to destroy the contract. Cedar Fort TRAFFIC ACCIDENT - When a driver swerved to miss a deer on S.R. 73, her vehicle left the road. The vehicle wasn't damaged, but had to be removed by a tow truck since it was stuck in the mud. Eagle liltn. WARRANT ARREST - During an early morning traffic stop, a driver pulled over for speeding on S.R. 73 refused to give the officer a current address or any other identification information besides his name. A computer search revealed that the man had two outstanding warrants and no driver's license. He was booked into the Utah County Jail. DRUG POSSESSION - An officer of-ficer observed a vehicle traveling on Ranches Parkway on Feb. 29 with its emergency flashers on. The officer checked the vehicle's license plate and found that the registration had been revoked. He stopped the car, and during the impound procedure, found marijuana. The driver admitted he had been smoking marijuana, and had more hidden in his shoe. The driver was arrested and booked into the Utah County Jail and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, parapherna-lia, driving with a denied driver's license and revoked registration. The officer found that the vehicle was not abandoned when a family returned to the vehicle after their outdoors recreation. LEHI FIRE There was a garbage truck on fire on Feb. 21. The truck driver was able to put it out prior to police arrival. THEFT A man was cited with theft of a Ryobi weed eater on Feb. 20. THREATENING - A juvenile was cited with disorderly conduct on Feb. 20. Another juvenile was cited with threats against life property. THEFT - A JVC VHS video camcorder cam-corder and a baby carrier were stolen on Feb. 19. VEHICLE BURGLARY - A vehicle ve-hicle was broken in on Feb. 19 and a duffel bag taken. $500 damage was done to the window. Taken were a wedding band, volley ball, Asics shoes, MP3 and iPod. BURGLARY - Two game systems sys-tems plus games were stolen from a home on Feb. 18. A motorcycle motor-cycle was taken from the garage. Later a shotgun and stereo receiver re-ceiver were reported to also have been taken. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - An individual was cited for criminal mischief on Feb. 17 when he drove across a lawn, causing an estimate $1,000 damage to the landscaping. He was also cited for an expired driver's license and more. VEHICLE BURGLARY - On Feb. 19, a Sirius satellite radio and CDs were reported stolen from a vehicle. INFORMATION - Officers attempted contact with an individual indi-vidual at a residence on Feb. 20. Eight-year-old and 9-year-old sons were found home alone. WARRANT - Two individuals were taken to the Utah County jail on outstanding warrants on Feb. 21. One individual was also cited for driving on a deniedsuspended deniedsus-pended driver's license.
