She currently is serving serv-ing as the Mia Maid Secretary in her class. She is in the 9th grade at Lehi Junior High School and serves on the Student Council and Leadership Leader-ship Team. She likes to read, play the piano and flute and is in the school band. Some of the projects Serena completed to receive this award were reading the Book of Mormon, Mor-mon, preparing names for baptisms bap-tisms for the dead, and making a pillow with a quote from Joseph Smith on it. Smith, son of Steve and Maren Smith of Cedar Hills, received his Eagle Scout award October 28, 2007 in a Court of Honor. He is a member of Troop 1 192, sponsored by the Cedar Hills 7th Ward. For his Eagle service project, he collected donations and put together 80 newborn kits that will be sent to third world countries in need. He is in the 8th grade at Mt. Ridge Junior High.
