ALPINE HIGHLAND ATTEMPTED ABDUCTION Police are looking for the suspect sus-pect in the reported abduction of a 14-year-old Highland girl on Monday morning. The girl was walking to Mountain Ridge Jr. High School when a small red vehicle ve-hicle pulled up alongside her and the driver instructed her to get in. The girl refused and kept walking. The driver then pulled the vehicle in front of the girl and forced her into the front passenger seat. The vehicle then drove west along 10400 North. As the vehicle slowed for a stop sign at the intersection inter-section of 6000 West, the girl exited ex-ited the vehicle and walked back to the school, where she told the principal about the incident. The girl was not injured. Police are looking for a small red, 2 door ' vehicle. The vehicle is reported to have a broken armrest inside the passenger door. The suspect is described as a white male, 20-25 years old, wearing blue jeans, red sweatshirt sweat-shirt and red baseball type hat. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - Police responded to a residence on Healey Boulevard in Alpine on Oct. 17 on the report of a window that had been broken out of an SUV while it was parked in the homeowner's driveway. Nothing appeared to be missing from inside in-side the vehicle. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE On Oct. 17, charges were filed against three individuals involved in a family argument that turned physical. Police were dispatched to a Highland residence on a keep the peace detail. After speaking with the parties involved, it was determined a domestic violence incident had taken place. CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE PROBLEM A 22-year-old woman was arrested for possession posses-sion of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officers observed a suspicious vehicle at a local park after park curfew. A woman passenger in the vehicle was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. TRESPASSING - A 29-year-old man was arrested for trespassing. trespass-ing. The man was located in a fifth-wheel trailer sleeping. He said he had been drinking and was walking to a friend's house. He became tired and found the trailer unlocked, so he entered it and went to sleep. THEFT BY DECEPTION - A 21-year-old man was arrested for theft and theft by deception. The man stole several construction tools from his father and pawned them at a local pawn shop. DISORDERLY CONDUCT - A 36-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct. The man became upset at a door-to-door salesman. He yelled several racial slurs at the salesman and then pushed him. TELEPHONE HARASSMENT A 37-year-old woman was arrested ar-rested for telephone harassment. The woman called the victim several times asking her to drop charges on a separate theft case Nearly 2,000 cases of child abuse axe reported in the county coun-ty each year, many involving more than one child. DUI A 32-year-old man was arrested for DUI after he was involved in-volved in a traffic accident. Cedar Fort ALARM CHECK - An officer responded to an ADT alarm at the Cedar Fort Community Center. He found the site to be secure. It appeared that people who entered the building legitimately had not disarmed the alarm system sys-tem properly. RETURNED PROPERTY - A wallet found on the Spring Creek Trail near the Cedar Fort Rodeo Arena was turned in to police. They were able to identify the owner from items in the wallet, wal-let, and return it to the owner's mother in Lehi. CEDAR HILLS ARREST A 22-year-old man was arrested for supplying alcohol alco-hol to minors and two outstanding outstand-ing arrest warrants. A 23-year-old man was arrested for intoxication and a 20-year-old woman and a 19-year-old woman were arrested for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. NOISE DISTURBANCE - Officers Of-ficers responded to a report of a noise disturbance. During the investigation they observed that the women, who where under age, had been consuming alcohol. alco-hol. The owner of the residence was arrested for supplying the alcohol, al-cohol, and he had two outstand- . ing arrest warrants. Another man at the party was arrested for intoxication. ASSAULT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VIO-LENCE - A 49-year-old man was arrested for assault domestic violence in the presence of a child. The man and his wife got into an argument. DRUG POSSESSION - An officer smelled marijuana inside a vehicle he had pulled over for speeding. The officer also saw unopened containers of alcohol and found that both occupants were under 21. Fairfield SINGLE VEHICLE ACCIDENT A driver going southbound on S.R. 73 after midnight left the road and rolled the vehicle, stopping stop-ping approximately 30 feet off the pavement. The driver was not injured, but the vehicle was damaged. dam-aged. He had no way of contacting police from the accident scene, but was able to get a ride to his residence and notify police from home. Officers found no evidence of alcohol in or around the vehicle. They believe the driver may hav6 fallen asleep at the wheel. LEHI ASSAULT - On Oct. 7, officers were called to a report of an assault as-sault at a bar. The case will be forwarded to the prosecutor for review. VEHICLE BURGLARY - A window was reported on Oct. 7 to have been broken out of a vehicle ve-hicle and merchandise valued at $2,500 taken. Cost of the window was reported at $500. TRAFFIC OFFENSE - A man was cited with driving on a suspended driver's license, no registration and with no proof of Insurance on Oct. 9. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE - On Oct. 10, an individual was arrested arrest-ed and taken to the Utah County Jail for several charges including domestic violence, intoxication and resisting arrest. TRAFFIC OFFENSE - On Oct. 10, an individual was cited for speeding, no Utah driver's license li-cense and open container. JUVENILE PROBLEM - A juvenile ju-venile was returned home on Oct. 11 and was cited into Juvenile Court for a tobacco violation. PLEASANT GROVE ASSAULT - On Oct. 18 police responded to an assault detail that resulted in the arrest of a juvenile boy. The boy was cited for assault and was released to his parent. The complainant was taken by private vehicle to a hospital hos-pital with a broken nose. BURGLARY - On Oct. 18 police responded to a residential burglary. bur-glary. Stolen were a play station, television, Fuji digital camera, DVDs, laptop computer, Kodak digital camera, Garmin GPS Etrex satellite. BURGLARY - Officers responded re-sponded to a burglary at a warehousestorage ware-housestorage area on Oct. 17. Several tools were taken including includ-ing a compressor, nail gun, Magic Chef cooler, etc. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - On Oct. 19, police received a report from a motorist who said she was driving when a motorist drove past and water balloons were thrown at her vehicle, damaging the windshield. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - During Dur-ing the week, several reports of vehicles having their windows broken out were received, including includ-ing one where the vehicle was damaged by pumpkins. THEFT - A man was arrested on Oct. 18 after officers were summoned to a bank regarding a man who stole $50 during a bank transaction. Officers contacted the man who admitted to stealing the money. Officers recovered the money and issued the man a citation for theft and possession of drug paraphernalia in a drug-free-zone. He was later released without further incident. THEFT - On Oct. 20, a man called to report that his bicycle was taken from the U.T.A. bus while he was riding the bus. He had placed it on the rack on the front of the bus when he boarded the bus in South Orem. When he got off in American Fork, he found the bike gone. Because he could not determine if the bike had been stolen in Pleasant Grove, he was referred to the American Fork Police Department. Depart-ment. THEFT - On Oct. 20, an individual individ-ual reported that a woman had come to her house and asked to use the restroom. When she left, so did the reporting party's wallet and prescribed medicine. THEFT - On Oct. 15, police responded to a business where the owner reported radiators had been stolen from his shop. Saratoga Springs WEAPONS OFFENSE - Officers Offi-cers responded to the area of the Utah County RC Airport Park on a report of several apparent duck hunters carrying rifles and shotguns. shot-guns. The officers were unable to locate the individuals, but heard shotgun blasts in the distance. Police are reminding citizens that discharging a firearm within the city is unlawful. -JUVENILE PROBLEM - Officers Of-ficers responded to the Saratoga Springs Development main swimming swim-ming pool on a report that several juveniles were in the pool after hours. The officers found that the juveniles had entered the pool area using residential keys that should have been deactivated after 10 p.m., but had accidentally been left activated.
