With origins in home parties, par-ties, the company has grown to a storefront operation, soon to be expanded. They plan on opening another in St. George next month; in Arizona in October and San Diego in January. The company's motto is . "Let our secret enhance the curves you love and hide the curves you don't." Swimwear is designed with that in mind. All the suits are mix and match, so a customer may purchase one size for the bottom and another an-other for the top. There are traditional two-piece suits, but one of their focuses is on longer tops which cover the midriff. "You are never less dressed than you are in a swimming suit," she said. "Everybody has insecurity in their body. Everybody has come in and said for the first time they feel beautiful in a swimming suit." The firm is co-owned by Lori Shenk and Jill Carson. Carson said the company still has representatives in the field who are able to sell to the public. They are located lo-cated in California, Arizona, Texas, South Carolina. Oregon, Or-egon, Florida and Hawaii. She described how they decorated the store. "We have a tropical theme about it," she said. "We wanted the feel of a surf shop," she said. "We want you to feel like you are getting get-ting away," she said about the customers. Although the main swim suit season is, of course, the summer, the shop plans on being open year round. "We are getting people whose suit is worn out, or those going on cruises," Tautu said. "And going on Christmas vacations," Carson added. In addition to swimwear, the store offers Maui Babe browning lotion, designed to be worn over sunscreen. They carry Shaka Laka Lip Blaka and plan on adding new products this fall. They also plan on adding a men's wear line and men's products prod-ucts to their offerings. Smart Cookie opens American Fork location Smart Cookie Company has opened a new store at The Meadows in American Fork. The store is located adjacent to the Cinemark 12 Movie Theaters, 743 W. 100 North. The original Smart Cookie Company location opened in Provo in June of 2005. Smart Cookie Company offers more than 25 varieties of gourmet cookies and baked goods, made from scratch daily. The signature dessert item is a (Jourmet Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich, which customers can concoct by combining two of their favorite cookies with a scoop of premium ice cream.
