AT.1ERICA2T FORK CRIMINAL MISCHIEF DOMESTIC DO-MESTIC VIOLENCE - A 22-year-old man was arrested for criminal mischief domestic violence, vio-lence, interruption of a communications communi-cations device, domestic violence In the presence of a child and intoxication. The man got into an argument with his mother over his children. When his mother attempted to call 911, he pulled two different phones from out of the wall in an attempt to stop her. The man's two children were present during the incident. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AGGRAVATED AG-GRAVATED ASSAULT - A 27-year-old man was arrested for domestic violence aggravated assault, violation of a protective order, domestic violence in the presence of a child, domestic violence criminal mischief and leaving the scene of an accident. The man has an active protective order against him. He became upset when he could not get in touch with his wife so he drove around to several of her friends residence until he located her. She was parked in front of a friend's home and saw her husband hus-band driving toward her so she attempted to drive away from him. The man chased after her in his car for several blocks until he forced her off the road by hitting his vehicle into hers. He approached her car and broke out her window and grabbed her by the throat and then grabbed their 1-year-old son out of the car and took him back to his vehicle. The man then left the scene of the accident ac-cident but was observed by witnesses wit-nesses who contacted the police. The man was located by police a few blocks away. RETAIL THEFT - A 19 year-old man was arrested for retail theft after he attempted to take several electronic items from a local business. busi-ness. The items were valued at approximately $55. The man and several of his friends were at a local business. They were yelling obscenities at the employees. Officers Of-ficers located drug paraphernalia on the man's person. ASSAULT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VIO-LENCE - A 30-year-old woman and a 26-year-old woman were arrested for assaulted domestic violence and intoxication.The woman were observed by a citizen verbally arguing as they walked down the street. The argument escalated and the two began pushing and hitting each other. Both women had been drinking alcoholic beverages. TRESPASSING - A 57-year-old man was arrested for trespassing after he was observed sleeping sleep-ing under a semi-truck that was parked at a local convenient store. FALSE INFORMATION - A 40-year-old woman was arrested for filing a false report, and a 46-year-old man was arrested for unlawful detention. The woman contacted police stating that the man had approached her in her vehicle and kidnapped her, taking her to his house. She stated that she stayed there until he passed out and then she left. Detectives investigated the incident and the woman admitted that she had lied about being kidnapped. She stated she had voluntarily gone over to the man's residence. The man is a friend of hers, and while she was there, he did unlawfully detain her, and she later left after he passed out. She stated she lied because she did not think the police would do anything about it. ASSAULT - A 25-year-old woman and a 23-year-old woman were arrested for assault. The two women got into a verbal argument ar-gument over a child custody exchange. ex-change. During the argument the 25-year-old woman opened the car door hitting the 23-year-old woman in the stomach. She in return then hit the other woman persuaded not to go through '. with the job. ! CED All FORT THEFT - A deputy responded and took a report on the theft of money from a home. The resident wasn't sure when the money was taken. The house was possibly unlocked at the time. ERRATIC DRIVING - A truck driver reported seeing erratic driving in a car the truck was following fol-lowing eastbound on SR73 near Cedar Fort. The car was weaving from the shoulder and into oncoming on-coming traffic, nearly hitting a car coming in the opposite direction. The responding deputy was unable un-able to locate the car. CEDAR HILLS CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - Officers Offi-cers responded to a criminal mischief mis-chief at the Cedar Hills Golf Club. Someone had painted graffiti in one of the bathrooms. AUTO BURGLARY - Officers were called to a theft where two nail guns were taken from a construction con-struction trailer. MISCELLANEOUS - Officers responded to several calls of service ser-vice for animal problems, alarms, traffic accidents and fire alarms. EAGLE MOU1ITAIN THEFT Aluminum siding sheets were taken from several construction sites during the week of Aug. 5. The construction materials worth several hundred dollars were taken from sites mainly in the Pioneer Phase 7 addition. ad-dition. TRAFFIC ACCIDENT - Deputies Depu-ties responded to a cement truck rollover accident on Eagle Mountain Boulevard on Aug. 2. The driver sustained a severely broken leg and was air-lifted to LDS Hospital. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - On July 30, police were called to a new, almost completed house being vandalized. INSUFFICIENT FUNDS - A woman was booked into the Utah County Jail on July 30 on five counts of issuing a check with insufficient funds. ANIMAL PROBLEM - Officers responded to the area of 3500 W. Main St. on July 31 on a report of three animals running at large. The cows were located in the county area. The owner arrived and returned the cows to the pasture. A county deputy took the report. ANIMAL PROBLEM - On July 31, an officer assisted a motorist by removing a dragonfly from the complainants SUV. TRAFFIC OFFENSE - A man was booked into the Utah County Jail on July 31 on warrants, having hav-ing a cracked windshield, giving giv-ing false information to police, driving on a suspended driver's license and no insurance. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - A construction con-struction trailer and front loader were tagged with spray paint on July 31. ANIMAL PROBLEM - On Aug. 1, an officer removed a bat from the complainant's home. DISORDERLY CONDUCT -Two individuals were cited with disorderly conduct on Aug. 1. VEHICLE BURGLARY - On Aug. 2, seven auto burglaries were reported. ANIMAL PROBLEM - A mink was removed from the complainant's complain-ant's window well on Aug. 2. THREATENING - On Aug. 4, officers responded to a business where a man threatened the clerk and took beer. TRAFFIC PROBLEM - A man was cited with DUI, open container, contain-er, no driver's license and having a fictitious ID card on Aug. 4. ANIMAL PROBLEMS - A total of 33 animal calls were responded respond-ed to from July 29 through Aug. 4. Most of these were for stray dogs or cats. so they can safely transfer the funds, and promise a cut of the money in exchange for help. A woman got into an argument argu-ment with her sister. They were wrestling around, and they fell backwards. The fall caused a cut in the victim's head. CREDIT CARD THEFT - On Aug. 8, officers took a theft detail regarding a credit card activated and used at several different stores. A woman was sent a summons sum-mons on felony charges in reference refer-ence to the incident. STOLEN PROPERTY - On Aug. 8, several prescription drugs, cash and various IDs were stolen from a locked box in the victim's bedroom while she was out of the home. Value of the items is shown as $1,000. THEFT Officers responded to a report on Aug. 10 that two granite gran-ite headstones had been stolen from Pleasant Grove cemetery. VEHICLE BURGLARY - A purse containing credit cards and wallet were stolen from a vehicle. Also taken was a Canon power-shot power-shot digital camera on Aug. 11. VEHICLE BURGLARY - Miscellaneous Mis-cellaneous prescription pills and a case containing CDs was reported stolen from a vehicle on Aug. 11. VEHICLE BURGLARY - On Aug. 10, Bushnell binoculars and the vehicle registration was reported stolen from a vehicle while it was parked at a Lindon business. GRAFFITI Three reports of graffiti being painted on businesses busi-nesses or a vehicle were taken. One was Aug. 7, one on Aug. 8 and one on Aug. 10. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - On Aug. 9, officers responded to a report of individuals toilet papering paper-ing a residence. Officers arrived and located two girls. The girls were spoken to about the crime being committed and released after the home owner declined charges. The girls' mothers were contacted and the girls released to them. ASSAULT Officers responded respond-ed to American Fork Hospital Emergency Room on Aug. 12 on a report of an assault. They met with the individuals, a victim who had multiple bruises and marks on for a long time," Edwards said. "Notwithstanding all the stories and all the warnings that have come out, there's still some who are either unaware un-aware or think that maybe this couldn't happen to them." VEHICLE BURGLARY - Officers Of-ficers responded to a residential burglary report on Aug. 9. They found an unknown individual had entered a garage and stole items from a vehicle including a laptop lap-top computer valued at $1,000, laptop accessories and a digital csmsrSt DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE INFLU-ENCE - Officers responded to a report of a possible DUI on Aug. 7. Contact was made with the suspected vehicle and the driver was arrested for DUI. DUI - On Aug. 9, officers were dispatched to the area of Macey's for a report of a possible intoxicated intoxi-cated driver. The driver had run into the reporting party's vehicle and fled the scene. The suspect vehicle was located a short time later. The driver had exited the vehicle and was found in a field. He was later apprehended and charged with DUI, leaving the scene of an accident and open container. He was issued a citation cita-tion and released. SARATOGA SPRINGS ANIMAL PROBLEM - Animal control officers responded to a Harvest Hills home on the report of a skunk in the garage. The homeowners were concerned that if they cornered the animal it would become startled and spray all over the garage. The officers were able to trap the skunk and release it into a wild land area away from the property without incident. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE - Officers Of-ficers responded to the Lake Mountain Estates subdivision on the report of domestic violence. An aggravated assault had occurred, oc-curred, and a .45 caliber handgun had accidentally discharged during the dispute. The officers determined that alcohol was a factor in the incident. A suspect was arrested on the scene and booked into the Utah County Jail. about the contract killer scam on its Web site that same month.
