DOMESTIC VIOLENCE - A man was booked into the Utah County Jail on May 10 for domestic do-mestic violence assault. The city prosecutor will review the case for possible charges on the other party. PLEASANT GROVE ASSAULT - A victim reported on May 18 being slapped and grabbed by her sister while involved in a verbal altercation. During the initial investigation, the sister made suicidal threats and was taken into protective custody and was evaluated by Wasatch Mental Health by phone. The victim requested assault as-sault charges be filed. The sister was cited for simple assault and was taken to Wasatch Mental Health for an involuntary commitment com-mitment there. On May 20, officers of-ficers responded to a traffic accident ac-cident at 100 East State Street in Pleasant Grove. While investigating investigat-ing the accident, a strong odor of alcohol was noticed coming from the breath of one of the drivers involved. The driver was arrested for DUI and a warrant. COPPER THEFT - $500 worth of copper tubing was reported May 18 to have been stolen from a home under construction. SARATOGA SPRINGS VEHICLE BURGLARIES - Police Po-lice have responded to a series of vehicle burglaries in Saratoga Springs since warm weather arrived. In many of the cases, cars were left unlocked. A police spokesman warned drivers to lock their cars and place belongings belong-ings out of sight even when the car is parked at a residence.
