Show Thursday, October 5, 2006 NORTH COUNTY NEWSPAPERS Page 11 Obituaries Continued from previous Ruth Adella Harsh Huntsman Ruth Adella Harsh Huntsman, longtime resident of Pleasant Grove, Utah, recently residing with her daughter in Fountain Green, peacefully peace-fully passed away in the Nephi Hospital Hospi-tal at the age of 88 on Friday, Fri-day, September Septem-ber 29, 2006. She was born January 24, 1918 in Salt Lake City, the wife of LaVar Keith Huntsman. She was the daughter of Joseph Jo-seph Henry and Fannie Bout on Merrill Harsh. She married her sweetheart, LaVar on December 24, 1936 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized solem-nized in the Salt Lake Temple. They were looking forward to celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary an-niversary this December. Ruth is survived by her husband hus-band LaVar of Fountain Green; three daughters, Sibyl Ann (Boyd) Gtnes, Salina; Lois Jean (Larry) Woodcox, Fountain Green; Glenda (Frank) Savage, Las Vegas, NV: her son. Brent Keith (Terri) Huntsman, American Fork and sister, Naomi Dab on, Syracuse. She was the proud grandmother of 21 grandchildren; 43 greatgrandchildren, great-grandchildren, and 18 great -greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, a granddaughter, a great-grandson, and two great -great -grandchildren. She served and loved the Lord and her family with all her heart. Ruth will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the Timpanogos Seventh Sev-enth Ward Chapel, 193 North 400 East, Pleasant Grove. Friends and family called Tuesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove and at the church on Wednesday one hour prior to services. She is a beloved wife, mom, grandma, and teacher who will be greatly great-ly missed. Georgia was born April 24, 1933 in Pleasant Grove, Utah to Harold Harris and Lola (Rob-bins) (Rob-bins) Bullock. She grew up in Pleasant Grove. Valedictorian of her high school graduating class, she had a lifelong love of learning. Georgia married her sweetheart sweet-heart Donald George Schaefer on June 3, 1957 in the Salt Lake Temple. Tem-ple. They spent their married years in Springville and Orem. Together they enjoyed playing in the Utah Valley Symphony for 25 years with Georgia playing the violin. Georgia taught 2nd and 3rd grade for 23 years in Springville, Santaquin and at Vineyard Elementary Ele-mentary in Orem. She loved and inspired many children. A faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Georgia served in various callings throughout her life including Primary President, Stake Missionary, Family History His-tory Center Missionary at BYU and most recently as a Senior Missionary with her husband in the Tokyo Shibuya Mission. She will be remembered for her testimony testi-mony and her faith. Georgia is survived by her husband Don, children: Mark (Laurie) Schaefer, Lehi; Marnae (Todd) Ballantyne, American Fork; David (Heather) Schaefer, Queen Creek, AZ; Sharolyn (Mark) Wilkinson, Gilbert, AZ; her brothers: Harold R, Brent and Lynn Bullock. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Joyce Loveland. Her 23 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter will miss her terribly. Georgia will be remembered for her love of flowers, beautiful beauti-ful music, good books, and her excitement in traveling to new places with her husband Don. She will be remembered for the courageous n on -complaining way she faced the many, many health trials in her life. But most of all she will be remembered for her constant self-sacrificing love and service toward her family and friends and for her many efforts to strengthen and unite her family. fam-ily. Blood Pressure Clinic There will be a free blood pressure clinic from 10:30 a m. to noon on Oct. 11 at the center. flu Clink There is a flu vaccine clinic scheduled for Oct. 27 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost for the flu vaccine is $23 and for the pneumonia vaccine is $35 without insurance. I Hours The Lehi Senior Center is located at 123 N. Center St. and is open from Monday through Friday, 9 1 newsj a.m to 3 p.m. except holidays. Pleasant Grove Vaccine time The Utah County Health Department is sponsoring its annual flu vaccine clinic. Flu and pneumonia vaccines will be given from 1-3 p.m. on Oct. 23 at the Jacob Center. Seniors will need to bring their insurance cards. Medicare covers the cost of the vaccine. Several other insurances over the service at a discount. Without insurance the cost is $23 for the flu vaccine and $35 for the pneumonia vaccine. Slide show Don Grover is giving a slide presentation of his trip to Alaska on Oct. 12 at the center.
