In a rather unusual event, all the scoring came from pins or forfeits, so no matches match-es were settled by decisions. The Cavemen picked up byes at 130 and 140. In the contested bouts. American Fork's Andy Kitchen won at 112 032), Kyle Ballantyne came out on top at 119 (3:53). andKai Bagley secured a fall at 135(1:57). In the upper weights, the winners were Jon Wagner at 152(1:33). Mitch Day at 160 (1:55). Paul Olsenat 171(326). and Tyler Aston at 215 (1:58). The JV team added a 72-15 72-15 victory, but the Tigers forfeited at nine weights. In matches that were actually contested, Andre Cardenas earned a fall in the 152 weight class (223). and Spencer Spen-cer Smith won at 160 by fall (1:27). Beby Beaf on fifed this report YOUTH WRESTLING Junior High wrestlers place in Tooele tournament Two American Fork boys placed at a wrestling tournament tour-nament in Tooele over the weekend In the junior high divisioa Ben Peterson took second place in the 160 weight class. Jason Jerman was third in the S5-pound bracket. The pair are members of the Caverats Wrestling Club, a team for grapplers in grades 5-9. Other team members who competed in this tournament tourna-ment included Bryce Tanner, Brayden Tanner, Lucas Klein. Nick Muehlmann and Jaob Smith. The next tournament for the Caverats will be Jan. 7 in Heber. The club is still accepting participants.
