"Everybody on the team hit good," said American Fork coach Rick Lyman. The camp is set for July 19-23 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the AF High football field east of the main building. The cost is $35 before July 19 or $15 on the first day of camp. Conditioning sessions have been set for July 19-23 and 26-30 from 7 to 8:30 a.m. for all girls entering grades 9 through 12 who are interested in trying out for the high school soccer team. This preparatory training train-ing is pot mandatory, but is highly recommended. Teammates included Windy Jorgensen, Melinda Boice and Janalee Dubois, and the four of them set a state record in 1991 of 47.93 seconds sec-onds in the 4X100 relay that still stands. defense. Tiffany was only a sophomore that year, but it was already her second Beason competing at the high school. JorgenBen wanted her and his daughter Windy to be on the high school team when they were freshmen, but he had a time convincing convinc-ing school district officials to let them'because the junior jun-ior highs here do have track teams. District officials came up with the rule that is still used to determine freshman eligibility; the athletes must rank in the top three in their events on the school team. These girls easily met that standard, and went on to win a gold medal at State in the 4X100 that year. Tiffany also earned a bronze medal in the long jump and was sixth in the 100 hurdles in 1990. The next year, she won the hurdles hur-dles and was second in the long jump, helping American Ameri-can Fork to finish second to Mountain View at State. Now a resident of Pleasant Grove and a strength coach at BYU, she and husband Brent Hogan have one son, Keplar. "I've always set goals for myself, in all aspects of my life," she said.
