The meeting is for both parents and players. This is for all boys living within the American Fork High School boundaries, including boys from American Ameri-can Fork, Mountain Ridge and Pleasant Grove junior highs. Registration packets will be available at the meeting. Previously, fifth-grade players play-ers were allowed to participate partici-pate on sixth-grade teams. The first session, for grades 10-12, will be from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. for both weeks. The second session, grades 7-9, will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. for both weeks. . The third session, kindergarten through 6th grade, will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will be only the week of June 2-6. Registration is $65 for New 3A soccer teams seeking more players Tryouts will be held on May 19 and 20 for two new state-level soccer teams. Tryouts will be held from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on Monday and 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Lehi Junior High School. Players from all areas within north Utah County are invited. Jerry Preisendorf and Tom Fisher will coach an Under-12 boys team as a part of the independent Arsenal Strikers Soccer Club. He will also discuss optional summer sum-mer camps, weight training and a possible Snow College Passing Tournament. Invita-tional. Chris Muehlmann placed 7th in the decathlon with 4895 points and moved up to fourth place all-time at AF in the pole vault with a 4A-leading jump of 12'10.75". The top Caveman finish in individual events was by Dale Golding, who ended up seventh in the 3200 and 14th in the 1600. Gelding's 9:40.91 was the second-fastest second-fastest 3200 in school history histo-ry and qualified him for State in the event. Justin Crowther also competed in the 3200, while Eric Barlow was 45th and Crowther 59th in the 1600. James Barlow was 44th in the 800. In the girls' division, Leslie Rose came in 17th in the 3200, moving up to sixth place on the school list at 12:00.83, with Sauscha Sommers also competing. Recreation soccer and tennis lesson signups due The American Fork Recreation Department will begin registering for youth recreation soccer today. This program includes preschool pre-school children who will enter kindergarten in the fall of 2004 through children chil-dren entering eighth grade this fall. The cost is $20 and includes a team tee-shirt. The season will be August and September. Registration Registra-tion deadline is June 17. Signups also begin today for tennis lessons. The cost is $25 for eight lessons taught in a two-week period. peri-od. Four sessions will be taught during June and July. The tennis team program is designed for intermediate to advanced players who are ready for competition. This program will run during dur-ing June and July and the cost is $75. Team size is limited, lim-ited, so register early.
