Show Mew Utah - Thursday, March 27. 2003 - Alpine School District names Members of the Alpine District Board of Education approved the appointment of five elementary principals at their March 11 board meeting held at district offices in American Fork. The principals were appointed following the announcement of retirements and the naming of principals opening new elementary schools in August of 2003. Starlene Holm has been named as principal at Lehi Elementary replacing Dennis Nuckles who is retiring. Starlene has been in education edu-cation for the past 15 years, serving in the classroom for 1 1 years and as a literacy specialist and administrative adminis-trative assistant for the past four years. She brings to the principalship a wealth of curriculum krlowledge. She has been the reading specialist, training teachers how to teach balanced bal-anced literacy and reading recovery. recov-ery.
