The American Fork Stake will graduate its students tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the new American Fork Stake Center. Graduation exercises for the American Fork North and the Alpine Stakes will be held tomorrow, May 19 at 7:30 in their respective stake centers. The three stakes will graduate a total of 215 students. PULLEY Katie M. Pulley Dies, Funeral Today at 2 Katie Marie Mott Pulley, 79, died Monday, May 15, in Provo. She was born Aug. 22 1899 in American Fork to Albert S. and Mary S. Durrant Mott. On Jan. 18, 1922, she married Elmer A. Pulley in Salt Lake City. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mr. Pulley died Nov. 28, 1970. She was a member of the LDS Church participating par-ticipating as a Relief Society visiting teacher and as a member of the singing mothers. Survivors include three sons and a daughter, Vernal M. Pulley, Sp. Fork; Glen I. Pulley, Lehi; and Morris D. Pulley and May Pulley, both of American Fork; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Voln Mott, Orem; and a daughter-in-law, Theora S. Pulley, Provo. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the American Fork Fifteenth LDS Ward chapel. The JOHN SAXTON officers will be installed at the May 23 ladies meeting. Elected as president of the Lions Club is John Saxton. Mrs. Ijirry (Ann) Searle was elected president of the Lady Lions. Other officers elected at the April 29 meeting include: Stanley Phillips, 1st vi ce president; Sherman Blackburn, 2nd vice pres.; Kelly Hall, 3rd vice pres.; Ted R. Oliver of Alpine Diss WL'liam Harold Oliver Jr., 61, of Alpine died Saturday, May 13, at his residence following a long illness. He was born June 26, 1917 in Oakland, Calif., the son of William H. Oliver Sr., and Minnie Walker Culvar Oliver. In 1964 he married Muriel B. Miller in Los Angeles. The marriage later was solemnized in the Oakland LDS Temple. Serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II he was communications com-munications officer aboard the destroyer USS Wedderbum. He was a professional medical photographer. Survivors include his wife, a son and two daughters, William Harold Oliver III, Suisun, Calif.; Mrs. Susan L. Johnson, Carmel, Calif.; Mrs. Alice L. Street, Seattle, Wash.; and nine grandchildren. Graveside services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Salt Lake City of Ron Anderton, Steve Murdock and David Fagan. Guest speaker was Bishop Gail Halverson of the Oak Hills Ward of Provo. His talk was of his experiences during World War II when he spent four years behind the Iron Curtain. He participated in the Air Lift of supplies into Berlin which had been cut up four ways and entrances by land and water were blocked by the Russians. He told of the good will program he worked on to distribute gum and candy to children in the East German sectors. He was finally encouraged by the military officers to contine and expand the project until American confectioners con-fectioners sent truck loads of these trcat3 for distribution. Through these contacts better relations were established and many friendships were made. After the war he was sent back to be in charge of the operations for another four years. American Fork will send a large delegation to the State Convention in St. George and because so many of the members will be at convention, the June 8th business meeting has been cancelled. The next meeting of the club will be on Tuesday, May 23, at the Oak Crest Inn in Spanish Fork. At this meeting the new officers will be installed. The handsome young man will be named Joshua. He checked in at seven pounds. One sister, Melisa, was on hand to greet her new brother at home. Proud grandparent grand-parent is Belva Adams, who now numbers num-bers her grandchildren at 19; and Mr. and Mrs. Wells Beck. Great grandmother is Viola Dahling. Summer Course Utah Technical College at Provo and Orem will offer a summer quarter evening class in interior decorating and design, open to anyone with no prerequisites necessary, Dr. Roger Plothow, director of the division of continuing education and evening school, announced. The class will begin Thursday, June 15, and continue Tuesdays and Thursdays Thur-sdays from 6 to 8 p.m. for the 12-week summer quarter. It will be taught on the Provo campus of Utah Tech.
