Ron handles the glass and paint while Helen manages the other merchandise that is available in the store. Both Ron and Helen are natives of American Fork. Ron worked at the small arms plant near Ogden and also at Geneva before going into business busi-ness for himself in 1945. The Bates' tell of the difficulties they encountered in securing merchandise to sell during World War Two. But they stayed and saw fhe business grow and flourish. The Bates' have three sons. Dick, the oldest, is a commander command-er in the Navy. Robert and Craig are in business in Denver. Ron's Glass and Paint, specializes in glass and Bennett's Ben-nett's Paint.
