Show r Mr. and Mrs. RichardPaulThompson(PamelaJean Lamoreaux) Impressive Riles Unite Miss Pamela Jean Lamoureaux and Richard Thompson Miss Pamela Jean Lamoreaux became the bride of Richard Paul Thompson in impressive rites Thursday, August 12. The Orem Reception Center was the set ting for the exchange of nuptial vows with IDS Stake President Leland F. Priday officiating at the ceremony. The bride is a daughter of Mr and Mrs. Ray W. Lamoreaux of American Fork, and the bride eroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Thompson of Orem That same evening the newly- weds were honored at abeauti fully appointed reception held in the American Fork Ninth-Twelfth-Fourteenth Ward Cultural Hall The new Mrs. Thompson greet ed her guests in a floor length lace gown with heavily scallopped ornamental lace edging the neckline neck-line and continuing down the front of her gown to the floor. Her trane length mantilla was adorned ad-orned also with the matching lace edging. Completing her ensemble was her cascading bridal bouquet of white stephanotis arranged around a large orchid. Attending the bride was Miss Lorena Pratt, maid of honor, with bridesmaids, Marsha Mur-dock, Mur-dock, Mary Ann Robertson and Debbie Thompson and Allyson Lamoreaux sisters of the groom and the bride respectively. Jane and Mary Lamoreaux, nieces of the bride served as flower girls. Attendants dresses featured a shirred bodice, juliet sleeves ruffled at the wrist of pale lav-endar lav-endar crepe. Each carried a basket bas-ket arrangement of lavendar and pink chrysthemums with lavendar laven-dar ribbons. Performing the duties of best man was Jim Thompson, brother of the groom. Ushers were Jim Lamoreaux and Bonnie Hall. Greeting guests at the door were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Lamoreaux Lam-oreaux and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Lamoreaux. Seated at the guest registry was Suzanne Lamor eaux. In charge of gifts were Car olyn Lamoreaux, Mrs. Beverly Hall, Shauna and Pam Durrani. Terri Robinson, LaNan Pul ley, Judy Maddox, Debbie Gun- ther and Kristie Ovard assis ted in the serving. Following a honeymoon the newlyweds will leave for the Eastern United States where the groom is employed. Turner of Alpine wish to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Jan, to Mr. Paul David Leavitt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Leavitt of Mesquite, Nevada. The betrothed pair is planning a Saturday, September 11, wedding wed-ding date at the Manor in American Fork, Utah. Bishop Ronald Strong will officiate. Following Fol-lowing the marriage the couple will be honored at a wedding reception at The Manor. Friends may greet the couple from 8 to 10 p.m. They will be further honored at an open house in Mesquite on Saturday, Septem ber 13. Miss Turner is a graduate of the American Fork High School and four-year Seminary Pro gram. She is also active in her ward and has served the past year as President of the Youth Council. Her fiance has completed tour of duty with the U.S. Army in Viet Nam and has attended Dixie College and the Brigham Young University. The 12 girls en rolled have met weekly throughout through-out the summer with leaders, Di xie Magleby and Anita Steiner, to study the basic four food groups and the main food nutrients.
