If 10V ) 1 1 i aAV.. ) N Qi o o Lehi Roundup Queen Contest Set For Saturday at Rodeo Arena Everything is in readiness for a big Western event, one of the outstanding occasions of the season, sea-son, according to Art Sabey, publicity pub-licity chairman for the Lehi Civic Improvement Association. This will be the annual Queen Contest, entertaining and thrilling thrill-ing prelude to the big Lehi Roundup Round-up celebration. This important impor-tant contest will be held at the Lehi Rodeo Arena located at Fifth West and Second North, Saturday, May 22 at 8:00 p.m. The public is invited and admission ad-mission is free. There will be plenty of hearty Western refreshments re-freshments on sale by the Lehi Riding Club. Bring the entire family and join in the fun. Make your own selection of the lady riders who will compete for Royalty Roy-alty honors. REGISTRATION Registration will be accepted right up to the evening of Saturday, Sat-urday, May 22, with Dale Peterson Peter-son and Marv Pulham, co-chair-mtn for the Queen Contest, or at the rodeo grounds. Dean Lott is also serving on the contest committee. FORMER LEHI QUEENS NOT ELIGIBLE Girls and women age 16 years and over are eligible to compete com-pete for the title of "Queen" or one of the two Attendants to the Queen. However, former Lehi Queens may not enter the competition. com-petition. Those who may have served as "Queens" in other communities are welcome to enter. en-ter. Former Lehi attendants are also eligible to compete for the Royalty. BEGrhS AT 8:00 P.M. The evening's free entertainment entertain-ment will begin at 8:00 p.m. This will include novelty features, fea-tures, kids' calf riding and other oth-er events. (Get your wirtten permits per-mits from your parents boys and girls). LUNCHEON AT 4:30 A very special event, honoring all of the contestants, each one a "Queen" in her own community, commun-ity, will be held at 4:30 p.m., at the Lehi Riding Club clubhouse, club-house, just across the street west of the rodeo arena. This will be an informal luncheon, where the contestants will be welcomed, will meet with the committee members and will be made to feel "right at home" in Lehi. JUDGING Impartial and well qualified judges will handle the difficult task of selecting the queen and her two attendants. Point of judging will take place, according accor-ding to riding ability, mount, and general appearance. CHANGE IN PARADE DATES The big Lehi Roundup Celebration Celebra-tion will be held on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, July 1, 2 and 3.
