Fork Library The American Fork Public Library Li-brary was presented with a rare -copy of the book, "Grandpa Was a Polygamist," this past week. The gift was made by Betty G. Spencer in the name of the author, auth-or, Paul D. Bailey, who recently recent-ly was keynote speaker at the Writer's Roundup, sponsored by the League of Utah Writers at Provo. Mr. Bailey is a native of American Amer-ican Fork and during his high school years resided for a time with his grandfather Joseph B. Forbes. Mr. Bailey is a well known author, having published 17 books and numerous articles. He is also owner of Western-lore Western-lore Press, in Los Angeles, a respected publishing firm specializing spec-ializing in scholarly western manuscripts and republication of rare books. "Grandpa Was a Polygamist" was published a number of years ago and now appears on the rare books lists, valued at $60 per copy. Librarian Jennie T.Greenwood asked Mrs. Spencer to inquire about the possibility of purchasing purchas-ing additional copies of the book while Mr. Bailey was in Utah last month. Although copies are not available on the regular market, mar-ket, the author graciously obtained obtain-ed a copy, mailing it to Mrs. Spencer for presentation to the local library. 22, so hurry with your name. The chorus is made up of 70 seventh, eighth and ninth grade students under the direction of Gilbert (Bert) Taylor, Junior High School choral director.
