Dean met with the Utah County Bar Association As-sociation at its regular monthly meeting, where in he requested their individual and united support sup-port behind the petition to make Utah County a toll-free telephone exchange. Senator Dean gave a report on which groups in Utah County have agreed to become parties to the petition, which include: in-clude: Cedar Valley Town Board, Lehi City Council, Alpine City Council, Pleasant Grove City Council, Pleasant Grove Chamber Cham-ber of Commerce, Lindon City Council, OremCity Council, Orem Chamber of Commerce, Provo Chamber of C o m m e r c e , Provo City Council, Mapleton City Council, Payson Chamber of Commerce, American Fork Industrial In-dustrial Development Association, Associa-tion, President's Association of Chambers of Commerce of Utah County, and now, the Utah County Coun-ty Bar Association. Senator Dean stated that J. Robert Bullock had agreed to be legal counsel, and work with Mr. Dean in formulating and filing the petition and in presenting the case to the Public Service Commission Commis-sion of Utah. Senator Dean indicated that he was in the process of organizing organiz-ing a committee of thirty people from among the petitioning cities and chambers of commerce who would be the power base to represent rep-resent the case to the Public Service Commission of Utah. Prior to the formal filing of the petition (which will be filed during dur-ing October, 1970), Senator Dean and Counsel will meet with the Mountain Bell Telephone Company Com-pany again to see if they would be willing to initiate toll-free service for Utah County. If acceptance ac-ceptance cannot be reached, the formal filing will take place. The petition will include four considerations, including: 1. Toll-free telephone service ser-vice for all of Utah County, at no rates to exceed the present rate charged the Orem, Provo, Springville subscribers. 2. Immediate elimination of long distance charges between subscribers in the Pleasant Grove, Lindon, Vineyard, and Orem area at no increased rate for any subscriber. 3. Justification of 24 miles as the base for determining calls which can be made under Met- ropac Telephone Service. 4. Elimination of the long dis tance boundary which exists be tween Salt Lake County and Utah County, whereas the same boundary boun-dary duea not exist between Weber We-ber and North Davis County. CLOSED AREA The area Northwest of Alpine, North of Lehi and South of Draper, Dra-per, known as the "Low Hills" is closed to all hunting, Tote Gotes, Motorcycles, Jeeps and trespassers and those wilfully breaking the new trespass law, will be prosecuted. The only road open to the public pub-lic is the county road from Alpine Al-pine to Draper through Hog Hollow. Hol-low. This area will be posted and controlled from now on. Kenneth J.
