Members of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Utah Cytometric Cy-tometric Association left recently for a two-week business and pleasure trip with their Doctor husbands attending the American Optometric Association 73rd Congress, Honolulu. Eleven visiting queens, plus their attendants, are expected to appear in the Steel Days parade, with the majority remaining for the day's activities offered in connection with the Steel Days celebration. The American Fork SteelDays royalty, Queen CoUeen Smith and her attendants Terrie Lee Heinz and Carla Hansen, will host all visiting queens who appear in the Steel Days Parades Saturday. A full schedule of events has been planned for the visiting royalty roy-alty as a courtesy of our own Steel Days royal trio. Immediately following the morning parade, the queens and attendants will meet at the Car Carnival and Dune Buggy demonstration. demon-stration. Luncheon for the group will be served at the Senior Citizens Cit-izens Center. The group will attend the Steel Days Horse Races and will be entertained by an informal reception at the home of Richard Devey. The Steel Days Royalty will be assisted in hosting their counter parts from other communities by Mrs. S. Paul Murdock, queen chairman; Councilman and Mrs Harold W. Don't put the match to that trash! Use your city garbage collection service to remove garbage and debris from your premises. A sharp increase in the num ber of fires caused by residviits burning trash has caused concern among city officials. Council members also received a number of complaints from residents who object to neighbors burning garbage. All city residents are included in city garbage collection service, serv-ice, paying only $1 a month for four weekly collections right at their residence. City officials find no excuse for burning and remind residents that burning of materials is forbidden by state law. Next time you are tempted to burn garbage of trash, remember that regular garbage pickup is scheduled weekly. If you have an accumulation which exceed the number of garbage cans on hand, buy another container. City crews will charge no more for an extra container and your premises pre-mises will be cleaner, the city more attractive. Senior Citizens Plan Two-Day Trip One of the most interesting and enjoyable trips to be taken by Senior Citizens this year will be to the Capitol Reef - Goblin Valley area July 30 - 31. This trip will take two days, returning return-ing to American Fork Friday afternoon, July 31. This highly colored area with its fantastic shapes fashioned by nature and its elements is now drawing thousands thou-sands of tourists yearly to the Utah. An air conditioned bus has been secured for transportation and sleeping accommodations for WELCOME NEW ARRIVAL An eight pound two ounce baby girl was born July 7, in the Utah Valley Hospital to Richard W. and Sandra Scott Boothe of American Fork.
