This week has been cut short with the early publication next week. But we have had a busy week. The weddings were all lovely and I'm sure manv of the ward members attended and enjoyed them as we did. MIA Conference is inprogress and involves many of our Mutual workers. They are getting new ideas for spiritual and physical food for the young people of our ward. We so appreciate what they do for them. Our loss is Texas's gain. The Gary Cannon family are leaving us in the near future to live in Texas. Tlwy hope It won't be for too many years and so do we. Gary and Beverly and their lovely children have been a real asset to the ward. This also means a new counselor in our bishopric. We wish them good luck in their move and wan' them to know they will be missed. Jolene Larson left on July 19 for a reunion with her husband Jerry in Hawaii during his R and R (rest and recuperation) from Vietnam. He was scheduled to arrive on the 20th. They stayed at one of the Hilton Hotels and took in as many of the things of interest they could crowd into the six days they were together. She reported him to be somewhat thinner, but bis spirits are good and he only has 60 more days before he should be home. He is still the company clerk at Camp Evans near the DMZ. But he has been promoted to Sgt. now. He has had the opportunity to visit Don't fret over what you'd do with your time if you could live it over again - get busy with what you have left.
