Mrs. LaCombe graduated from Avllla College In Kansas City with a bachelor o science degree in nursing. She attended two and one half years at Brlgham Young University where she was on the honor roll. She has also been on the Dean's roll at Avllla College. Susan has accepted a teaching position at the St. Mary's Hospital Hos-pital in Kansas City where she Is teaching medical nursing. Delbert Hoglund Instructs Survival Training Navy Lt. J. G. Delbert Hoglund, Hog-lund, who has spent 19 years in the U. S. Navy is presently stationed at San Diego, California at the Training Center, where he is an Instructor in Survival Training. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph W. The Cubs and their families fami-lies met August 17, at the swimming swim-ming pool for an evening of water fun. After swimming, everyone enjoyed watermelons, and awards were given. Dan Thomas received h! Bobcat Bob-cat pin, and Mike Mageliy received re-ceived a gold and silver arrow and was advanced to the Bear rank. On August 23, the pack met at the Beehive Ball field where everyone roasted hot dogs and marshmellows. Afterwards they enjoyed a ballgame between the Cubs and their dads. Women Receive Nursing Diplomas Twenty-five Practical Nurses and 27 Dental Assistants received diplomas at Commencement exercises ex-ercises held Wednesday, August 30, in the Provo Tabernacle. The graduation exercises were under the direction of the Utah State Board for Vocational Education and Utah Technical College at Provo, Utah. Two American Fork women, Mrs. Deane Tidwell, and Miss Marilee J. Gordon, were among the Practical Nurses who were awarded diplomas. Presiding at the program, was Wilson W. Sorenson, president of the UTC. Dr. Jay J. Campbell, Deputy Superintendent for Institutions Institu-tions was the guest speaker. In his address he congratulated the students for choosing such Important Im-portant fields.
