Stevenson, Provo businessman and resident of Pay -son, recently announced his candidacy for Utah County Clerk, on the Republican ticket. Active In the affairs of the Republican Party, Mr. Stevenson Steven-son is presently Treasurer for the Utah County Republican Party Par-ty and is a member of the County Central Committee. He organized organ-ized and led the first-Republican Neighbor to Neighbor Drive, serving as chairman In 1965, and Is presently organizing another such campaign to begin on June 6, to raise funds for the Utah County Republican candidates. Mr. Stevenson is presently serving as County Unit Chairman for the South Utah County Unit of the American Cancer Society. He has served in the capacity of Unit Chairman for the past two years. In July 1945, he was selected for special training as a rehabilitation re-habilitation specialist to assist In the demobilization program of the Marine Corps. Ke served in this capacity In the Thirteenth Marine District Headquarters at Seattle, Washington until April 1946, at which time be received an Honorable Discharge and was cited for meritorious service. Mr. Stevenson was owner and operator of the Stevenson Photo Supply in American Fork from 1950 to 1957 prior to the time it became List on' s Photo. Returning to Payson he re sumed his position with United States Steel as head photographer photograph-er at its Geneva facilities.
