Show Am. Fork Police Department Report For Month of April Listed The American Fork City Police Po-lice Department report for the month of April showed a total of 71 adult arrests and 60 juvenile arrests. There were 13 accidents investigated, inve-stigated, with three persons injured in-jured and $5,045.00 amount of property damage. There were also 148 miscellaneous calls answered. There were 54 arrests for the following adult traffic offenses during the month: speeding, 13; red light, 5; stop sign,2; failure to yield,3; improper turn,2; improper im-proper turn, 2; improper backing, 3; improper passing, 1; improper passing (school bus) 11; expired operator's license, 1; inspection, 6; improper registration, regis-tration, 1; improper parking, 3; driving while under the influence influ-ence of liquor, 1. Adult arrests for non-traffic offenses were: loitering (s-chools) (s-chools) 1; contributing to the delinquency of a minor, 3; disorderly disor-derly person, 2; supplying beer to a minor, 1; illegal possession of beer, 3; illegal possession of liquor, 2; illegal possession of marijuana. 1; petit larceny, 4. Total non-traffic adult arrests were 17. Traffic offenses accounted for 20 of the juvenile arrests. Speeding, 3; stop sign, 1; failure to control, 2; failure to yield, 2; improper backing, 1; improper turn. 1; improper passing, !; improper passing of a school bus 2; driving on the wrong side of the road, 2; no operator's license, 1; expired safety inspection, 2; impn train-irking, 1; reckless driving, 1. There were 40 juvenile arrests for non-traffic offenses during April, and 11 of these were fjr curfew violations. Other offenses of-fenses were: probation violation, viola-tion, 1; illegal possession of cigarettes, 1; loitering, (s-chools) (s-chools) 6; shooting in the city limits, 1; vandalism, 6; disorderly disor-derly person, 4; illegal possession posses-sion of beer, 1; public intoxication, intoxica-tion, 1; and petit larceny, 8. Reported offenses for the month totaled 47; runaways, 4; vandalism, 1; lost child, 4; family fami-ly and neighborhood disturbances disturban-ces 7; prowlers 2; petit larceny 18; grand larceny, 5; burglary, 3; robbery, 1; and car theft. 2. Officers of the department participated in the following listed activities, now shown on other reports during the month: vehicles checked, 22; persons checked, 35; funerals assisted, 3; business house doors found open, 11; motorists assisted, 20; man hours assisting other departments. 6 hours 30 minutes; minu-tes; officers time spent in school or training, 100 hours. Officer Cowden started trian-ing trian-ing with the Salt Lake City Police Po-lice Department on April 16, 1973 (88 hours.) Chief Adams attended a one day school for Chiefs and Sheriffs She-riffs m Richfield April 13. 1973 (8 hours) an FBI sponsored school in Logan April 25 (4 hours) and a monthly Chiefs meeting at American Fork April 30. The Police Department assisted assi-sted the American Fork Hospital Hospi-tal with a disaster drill April 30, 1973. Sgt. Francom talked to the Utah State Training School resi dents about police duties anal equipment on April 26, 1973. There are more than 3,000 counties in the U. S.
