C. A special Sunday , observance -VMM held last Sunday evening in the Alpine Stake Tabernacle for members of the community. Boy Scout Week 1958 sees the lunching of a yearlong Safety -Good Turn suggested-by President Presi-dent Elsenhower, Honorary Pres-Jdent Pres-Jdent of the Boy Scouts of America. In cooperation with other organizations giving leadership lead-ership in safety, the Boy Scouts win devote the months of March, April and May td traffic Safety. Outdoor safety projects will be promoted in June, July and August. Home safety will be featured In September, October and November. In launching the Safety Good Turn, the Boy Scouts plan to bring together for a public demonstration dem-onstration those groups involved in the safety program of the community. Window displays will feature safety this year. These will be arranged by units In their own neighborhoods. Clyde has asked all Boy Scouts of the four Utah Councils, to assume a "State Wide" call to help- with a safety program. The Governor has asked all Cub Packs, Scout Troops and Explorer Posts to Join together ai tne capital Building,-February 8, at 1 p.m. to report to the Governor concerning their 1957 "Onward for God and My Count ry" program and deliver to the Oevernor a 1958 Safety Good Turn "Pledge Letter." . Officials of the Utah National Parks Council are urging that every Pack, Troop and Post, in the Council take part in this program. Mr. and Mrs. LaVerl Warburton, Warbur-ton, Pleasant Grove,,' are announcing an-nouncing the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Joy, to Larry Beck,' son of Mr. and Mrs. Bardell Beck of American Fork. The young couple have chosen Friday, February 14, as their nuptial date. The wedding ceremony cere-mony will be performed that evening at the home of the bride groom's parents.
