Cultural Arts Members of Cultural Arts spent Mondav evening at the Sprlngville Art exhibit where Mae Huntington acted as guiae through the galleries. Mrs. Walton Wal-ton E. Fouleer and Mrs. E. Vefn Holindrake were' hostesses and a social ' hour , and refreshments were enjoyed at Kirk's on the way home. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Peterson (Ruth Laurseni, Burley, Idaho, visited last week with Mrs. Pet erson's mother, Mrs. Millie Laur sen, and other relatives. The Peterson's ar moving to Tacoma, Wash., in the near future. Mrs. I. R. Morrison, Salt Lake City, spent Wednesday visiting with her mother, Mrs. Robert E. Booth. Greene went to Salt Lake City Monday to attend the funeral services for Shirley Stewart Reld, daughter of J. B. and Elva Wright Stewart, former residents of American Fork. Second Ward Using the theme "The Lord's Prayer" Primary conference will be held In the Second ward Sun day evening at 6:30 p. m. About 100 children will take part in song and speaking parts. Mrs. LaVere J. Wadley Is directing the speech, Mrs. Claud Pratt, the music, and Shirley Richards is accompanist. There will be spec ial string music. Mrs. E. Vern Holindrake has returned home after spending a month in Chicago with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Strong. The special occasion was the arrival of a baby girl for the Strongs on March 4. Clubs and Socials Sixth Ward Building Banuet Owing to interference, from several quarters the Sixth ward building fund banquet scheduled for last Friday was postponed and will be held tomorrow night,; Friday, April 14. . Gay Nine Mrs. Joe Shepherd entertained the Gay Nine bridge club at her home Friday evening. Mrs. Floyd Oliver Jr. and Mrs. George E. Jones were special guests. Prize winners were Mrs. Glen M. Utacen Literary Guest night Monday for Utacen Literary club and their friends proved a most delightful affair Held in the Fourth ward chapel, the room was artistically deco rated with Daffodils, forsythia, and Easter lilies. Bryce Spencer, BYU speech major, gave an excellent rendition rendi-tion of Sir James M. Barrie's "The Admirable Crelghton". Music included an instrumental trio by Mrs. Raymond T. Bailey, Mrs. Robert Anderson, and Miss Shirley Shir-ley Bailey; a vocal trio, Janet White, Darlene Stice and Patricia Day, accompanied by A 1 i c e Strong; and piano numbers by LuJean Robinson and Paul An derson who rated superior at the recent Music Festival. Mrs. A. F. Coleman, president was in charge and was assisted by Mrs." Elmo Hansen, Mrs. Alma Hansen, Mrs. Francis Anderson and Mrs. J. Ralph Selbel. Mrs Henry S. The seven pound six ounce youngster, who arrived on his mother's birthday, will be named Lewis Neldon for his. grandfather Birk. Parents are Betty Blrk and H. E. May, Jr., Salt Lake City. Mrs. Susie Blrk Is the proud great-grandmother, and paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. H. E. May, Sioux Falls, N. D. Helen and Bill Durrant, Salt Lake City, welcdmed an eight pound son Into the family group April 5. Older children are BUI, 7, and Susan, 6. The new baby will be named Douglas. After almost seven years ofj married life Donna and Keith; Chadwick are thrilled over the! arrival of a six pound 14 ounce daughter at the local hospital April 8. She will probably be named Nadine. This makes three grandchildren for Mrs. E. J. Chadwick and five for Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Adamson. Mrs. John Binns is the only great-grandparent. Fourth Ward Banquet Slated for Friday Under the direction of Leo Bowen, counselor In the ward bishopric, and Mrs. Jesse Spaf-ford, Spaf-ford, president of the Relief Society, So-ciety, the Fourth ward will put over their annual welfare banquet ban-quet in the basement of the tabernacle Friday night. Following the dinner there will be a program given by students from the Brlgham Young university, univer-sity, and the evening will close with dancing. The committee will begin serving serv-ing the dinner at 6:30. The entire en-tire ward is invited to attend.
