Buss Hansen was on the mound for the P. G. team and was effective in keeping the Robinson hitters under control. Carl Richins was on the mound for the local team. Robinson's dropped their sec ond contest in the Provo invita tlonal meet, to the 20-30 club by a score of 4-1 on Friday night. The loss eliminated them from the tournament. The Provo club made all their runs in the fourth inning when they nicked Pitcher Dick Hamp ton for the runs. Carl Richins then came to the mound for the locals and succeeded in pitching shut-out ball for the rest of the game. Marlon J. Olsen directed the tournament which Is the second annual playing of the Provo softball tournament. Play con eluded Tuesday night. Riders Scale Heights Of Timpanogos During Annual Jaunt Thirty-eight riders, among them six women, made the saddle of Mount Timpanogos on horseback horse-back Sunday morning. The ride began at noon Saturday when a group of 40 left the home of Glen Chadwick for Grove Canyon. Can-yon. Saturday evening camp was made at Timpanooke Basin where Melvln and Jay Anderson to their own trultar accomnanl- ment entertained with western songs and Mrs. Frank Bennett gave a reading. Here the riders were Joined by many of the wives who came in cars for the evening dinner, program, and to spend the night. When the group neared the top of the. mountain they went into the saddle by tens until all had viewed the scenic beauty of Utah Valley from the heights of Timpanogos.
