Shaunna Fietkau Notice to contractors Michelle Brown Students to graduate from nursing program Two area residents art among tht 53 who will graduate from the Ricks College nursing program today. Shaunna Fietkau and Michelle Brown will receive diplomat during dur-ing pinning ceremonies today at 8 p.m. in the Kirkham Auditorium. This is the largest nursing class since 1984, when the college had 58 nursing graduates. Upon graduation, gradu-ation, the nurses are eligible to take the state board nursing examination. Smith named finalist McCall Smith, a senior at American Ameri-can Fork High School, wa a state finalist in the recent Deseret News Sterling Scholar competition. McCall has accumulated a number of honors during her high school career. She has been named a finalist in the Executive Women's Intern competition. com-petition. McCall, who has a 3.974 GPA, is a member of the National Honor Society, the German Club and the Future Business Leaders of America. Amer-ica. She has served as secretary of the FBLA and is currently the vice president. She has won several regional and state business competitions. Sealed proposals will be received by the Utah Department of Transportation Trans-portation UDOTDPS Building (2nd Floor), 4501 South 2700 West, Salt Lake City, Utah 84119, until 2 o'clock p.m. Tuesday, May 15, 1990, and at that time publicly opened for construction of Railroad Crossing Improvements in Utah County, the same being that section of 380 W. 200 South, Storrs Avenue, American Ameri-can FOrk City, identified identi-fied as Federal Aid Project Nos. RRS-0049(15) RRS-0049(15) and RRS-0049(21). RRS-0049(21). The principal items of work are approximately approxi-mately as follows: 2,432 Tons of Bituminous Surface Mix 34" Maximum, Maxi-mum, 2,550 Tons of Granular Borrow, and 1,335 Tons of Untreated Base Course 34" Maximum. Maxi-mum. The project is to be completed in 30 working work-ing days. A contractor's license is not required prior to bidding, but must be obtained before undertaking under-taking any construction. In conformity with the Federal-aid Highway High-way Act of 1968 the VS. Department of Labor has certified the wage rates for this project which are the minimum wages to be paid on this project. These rates are made a part of the contract con-tract documents. The attention of bidders bid-ders is directed to the fact that this Department Depart-ment has been advised by the Wage and Hour Division, U.S. Department Depart-ment of Labor, that contractors engaged in highway construction work are required to meet the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Stan-dards Act of 1938, (52 Stat. 1060). This contract is subject sub-ject to all appropriate Federal laws, including Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. A current list of minority contractors, suppliers and equipment equip-ment lessors is available avail-able and will be furnished fur-nished by the Utah Department of Transportation, Trans-portation, UDOTDPS Building (1st Floor Civil Rights Offices), upon request Proposal forms, plans and specifications are on file in the office of the Utah Department of Transportation, Salt Lake City, and the office of-fice of its District Director Di-rector at Cedar City, Richfield and Price, where they may be reviewed re-viewed by prospective bidders. Specifications, proposal forms and plans may be obtained only at the Department Offices at Salt Lake City, upon application and payment of a fee of $20.00, none of which will be refunded. Each bidder must submit a bid bond from an approved surety company on forms provided pro-vided by the Department; Depart-ment; or in lieu thereof, cash, certified check, or cashier's check for not less than 5 percent of the total amount of the bid, made payable to the Utah Department of Transportation, as evidence evi-dence of good faith and a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the bidder will execute the contract and furnish the contract bonds as required. The right to reject any or all bids is reserved. Any additional information infor-mation may be secured at the office of the Utah Department of Transportation. Trans-portation.
