Pleasant Grove Notice of Public Hearing ((iym Renovation) The Pleasant Grove City Council will hold a public hearing on Tucs., Jan. 26, 1982 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of the junior high school to discuss with interested citizens the possible renovation of the old junior high gymnasium which is located al 51 East 200 South. The proposal is to renovate the old gymnasium and use it as a multi-purpose and recreation center with possible use of one area of the building for the senior citizens. Estimated cost of the renovation has been given ai $155,000. Acquisition of equipment equip-ment would be in addition ad-dition to the renovation cost. Because of the availability of work crews and supervisors from the youth conservation con-servation corps' in Lirdon it is felt the $155,000 construction cost could be reduced if the work could begin in February. A general obligation bond or lease has been discussed by the council. Because of the availability of the free labor and the lime restraints of a general obligation bond issue a lease agreement for the facility is being considered. con-sidered. It is expected that revenues from the center would pay the operation of the facility and provide some monies to pay back the construction costs. All citizens are invited to attend the meeting on the 261 h so they can be informed of the proposal and express their opinions. The council desires to obtain the feelings of the citizens in the community as there is some urgency in determining what should be done with the building.
