Many of his friends and family cherished the memories of time spent with John as he excelled in hunting, fishing, and tying flies He was also a guide numerous times as he led others into the Alaskan wilderness fishing for salmon and halibut I le was active member of the IDS Church, serving in various callings, his favorite being that of a home teacher John & Carol served an 18 month service mission mis-sion together What was most important im-portant to him throughout his life was serv ing his fellowman. She was born Aug 9. 1!M4 in lehi. daughter of Frederic k and Lllen Amelia Rowley Shelton. She married Harold Thomas Johnson (deceased) and she later married Trudeau McAdams in 1W. Richard Watt Robins, Joving husband, father, grandfather fflid friend, passed away while surrounded by his family on January 5, 2008, in Cedar Hills, Utah. He was born October 29, 1922, in Lay-ton, Lay-ton, Utah, to Royal and Is abel Robins. He married Maurine Jensen on June 23, 1944, in the Salt Lake Temple, and they are now reunited re-united as eternal sweethearts. Dad loved the Lord, his family, and his country, and dedicated his life to serving others. He served in Europe as a member of the 69th Infantry Division in WWII. He worked in education for 40 years as an industrial arts teacher, elementary school principal, and supervisor of student teachers. As well as being a great husband, father and grandfather, Richard served in many church callings, including includ-ing Bishop, Bishop's Counselor, Clerk. High Councilor, and MTC Branch President. Dad loved serving with Mom. and together they served in BYU Student Ward leadership, at the Missionary Training Center, and as temple workers work-ers at both the Provo and ML Timpanogos temples. Perhaps their most cherished calling together to-gether was when they served as full-time missionaries at the Joseph Smith Home in Palmyra, Palmy-ra, New York. Richard's children are Kathleen Kath-leen Jex (Jim), Alpine, Connie Worhon (Doug), Lehi, Richard Rich-ard K. (Robyn), Cedar Hills, Clyde J. (Karla), Layton, Alan L (Wendy), Pleasant Grove. Richard has had a profound influence in-fluence on his 23 grandchildren and 23 great -grandchildrea He was preceded in death by his wife, Maurine, a sister Clara Talbot, and brothers Charles and Lee. Funeral services will be held on Saturday. January 12, 2008, at 11 a.m. in the Hillcrest 1st Ward Chapel 1450 South 800 East, Or em. Utah. A viewing will be held Friday evening, January 1 1. 2008, from 6-8 p.m. in the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North. Orem and from 930-10:30 930-10:30 a.m. Saturday morning at the church prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in the Orem City Cemetery.
