I could tell you every menu at every restaurant fast food or fine dining. din-ing. I could tell you the special of the day, the soup of the day and the time that the workers clock in and out. We have been moving. This means that all signs or smells of cooking have come to a complete stop at our home. I am not sure when my cookin' place will reopen. We are now in our beautiful new home, and my kitchen is a dream. I just wish I could find all of the items needed to cook that first homemade meal. Boxes, furniture fur-niture and things that do not have a home yet surround us. You forget how fabulous a homemade meal can taste until you have not had one in awhile. Recently we had the opportunity to go to my sister and brother-in-law's home for a dinner that sure hit home. I am not sure if they could see our weight gain that was coming from eating out too much, or if they simply felt bad for our little one's but we appreciated ap-preciated the compassion that they showed to us, (and all the moving they have helped us with). Regardless of the reason behind the invite, my brother-in-law cooked a meal that should be featured in the Taste Of Home Magazine. He is a talented and caring man. On first impression of meeting my brother-in-law Norm, you would have no idea that he could even boil water. But, Norm can cook a chicken as well as he can build and run a Demolition Derby car. Both Norm and I would love to share the chicken recipe with you, and I would love to share a couple of Web sites with you just in case you are eating out more than normal, "Bob's Chicken" I l4-cup extra virgin olive oil I I packet garlic and herb recipe and salad dressing dry packet mix I Fresh roasting chicken 4-5 pounds Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Whisk oil into salad dressing. In the bottom of a shallow roasting pan, place 2 chicken bouillon cubes and 2 14 cups water. (Helps to make perfect gravy.) Place chicken into the shallow roasting pan. Brush oil onto chicken. Bake chicken for 1-12 to 2 hours. Until juices run clear or meat thermometer reads 180 degrees. Remove from oven and tent the chicken with foil for 10 -15 minutes before carving. or you are just simply looking look-ing for a way to save a dime. Enjoy the info, and I will look forward to more batter chatter next week. Print free coupons for restaurants res-taurants from maps.google. com. Smart Car debuts in Lindon Grace Leong THE DAILY HERALD At 8.8 feet long, it's three feet shorter than a BMW Mini Cooper. But its interior leg room is only an inch less than the Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan. It's the Mercedes-Benz Smart Car, and its promoters promot-ers are hoping it becomes the next automotive fad. Produced by DaimlerChrys-Ier DaimlerChrys-Ier AG, Smart, which already sold more than 750,000 units worldwide in the past decade, is making its debut across the United States in a national launch that began in April. The mini two-person vehicle was unveiled at the Larry H. Miller Mercedes-Benz dealership dealer-ship in Lindon on Aug. 2. "The time is right to introduce in-troduce Smart to the United States. Rising gas prices, which makes the Smart's fuel economy attractive, as well as its cost and the ease of maneuvering and parking, park-ing, are all factors we hope will help sales," said Steve Weisenberger at the preview Thursday. He is a spokesman for Smart USA, a division of Mercedes-Benz. "Some families are seeing it as an alternative vehicle that can be used to commute to work or run errands," Weisenberger said. More than 155 orders have been placed for the Smart in Utah for delivery in Spring 2008, said Curtis Sampson, general manager of the Lindon Lin-don Mercedes dealership. In Utah, the Smart Car is sold exclusively at the Lindon dealership and retails for between be-tween $12,000 and $16,000 per unit, depending on options. Slightly wider than five feet, the Smart's safety features include a titanium frame, which includes three layers of reinforced steel. i North County Newspapers 3 P II IP(PJI Jpfflpln) tP Doily Herold Publishing Co. ctA 11 If I II II 13 1 l3 If III I 399 E.
