I ed was born in Paris, Idaho and V elma in McCammon, Idaho. When 1 ed was in grade school, he worked for Velma's dad on their family farm. As the two waited for the school bus, they often played marbles together. While in high school, they both participated in several sports and they began dating each other. After high school, l ed moved lo Southern California where he attended school and worked on the I.os Angeles aqueduct. Velma found work in Southern California Califor-nia after she graduate two years later and they continued their courtship. They were married in I'ocatello. Idaho on lune .it). 1!H7 then returned to live in California, When (ieneva Steel plant was being built, they moved lo I Hah where Ted worked construct ion at the plant and also helped build IX'er Creek Dam. They bought a farm in Orem where they provided their three children, (iayle (Ron) .lacobsen. Sandra (.lack) Wallace and l.arl (Marian Rowley) Clegg a secure, sale and happy home. Ted is a carpenter and built many beautiful homes in central Utah until he retired in WHO. He and Velma have always enjoyed the outdoors and being in nature Hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, snow mobiling and traveling have all been a wondcrlul part of their lives.
